I fall back into the Ark black hole every couple years. I’ve been meaning to catch the updated version on sale.
Cleric is really good! All the classes are good, really. Sorc is my favorite though. Two level dip into warlock and the rest sorc…
Life Domain cleric is great if you want to save people and let that barb go ham
Heck yeah it’s awesome. Hilarious game and a great mix of silly and cerebral. It’s a work of art of a game really
I’ve been on a bit of a retro kick lately, mostly SNES stuff, but I also like seeing how smaller studios handle localization. If you’re into game translation or just curious how it all works, I found some cool behind-the-scenes stuff and case studies over at https://allcorrectgames.com/ — it’s helped me notice things I used to miss in dialogue and menu layouts.
I play Overwatch basically every day, usually duo with my wife. I tend play a backup game that I rotate to whenever Overwatch is treating me badly. Stardew Valley, BG3, Infinity Nikki, and Date Everything have been the backups lately.
I was really into Stardew Valley for a bit but it got too repetitive after I became a multi-millionaire off of Starfruit and Ancient fruit wine. Great game though.
Recently, I got bit by the Balatro bug after they gave it away free on PS plus and I ended up buying the mobile version too (bad idea lol). PS Plus also gave away Diablo 4 for free last month and I’ve been spending most of my gaming sessions playing that since then.
The fun of Stardew for me is always in the first few years so I tend to start over new farms with various themes. I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours in it though. Recent updates have added tons of end game content for when you are super rich so there is a ton more to do now.
Battlefield 6 beta has been all I’ve been playing this past weekend.
Prior to that I have been re-playing the witcher series as I read through the first 3 books and it made me want to play them again to compare. Currently half way through 2 and forgot how much I disliked the menu system. I very much preferred Witcher 1’s controls and battle mechanics, even if they were super crazy to learn at first, it grows on you. Then the abrupt change in 2 is a bit jarring at first. It’s very souls like but not in a good way. Only having the ability to heal whilst meditating and only using potions is kind of dumb. Plus, the food is mostly useless, so why even have it in the game if it doesn’t heal?
Been having some fun with Drive Beyond Horizons
I’ve also played a little Fallout 76 here and there, kind of burnt out on it.
Graveyard keeper and Sable when I want something a little lower key.
Also been playing Skate 2 / 3 on the PS3
Replaying through Blood Will Tell on the PS3 as well
Dragon Quest builders and Chasm on the PS Vita
i got some time in too! i was very happy with it personally. felt like they took it back to franchise roots. tons of fun
Finally figured out where I left off on the GBA version of Final Fantasy V, (Soul Cannon goes BRRRRRRR)
(No longer running this shell, found a sick glow yellow translucent)
When I can wrestle my GBA away from my son lol, he loves playing Cars and all the Hot Wheels games, and some other things as well.
Recently been jamming out with a bass on rocksmith 2014. For actual gaming it has been monster hunter wilds, fighting the arch temps as akuma
I can’t stop playing Ghost of Tsushima for PS5, can’t wait for Ghost of Yotei to get released…
Mostly been playing Elden Ring Nightrein, but also just got into Lies of P and am absolutely loving it!
Working on Persona 5 Royal and Elden Ring—two absolutely massive games lol
Ghost Recon Wildlands. I turn off the ai teammates and crank the difficulty to extreme. Fun and frustration!
I’ve just started tears of the kingdom finally haha
Yeah! It’s refreshing and I’m so glad they listened to all of the negative feedback from 2042 because it was not good haha. Currently, the beta feels like they captured the best parts of 3/4 and mixed in a lot of the good mechanics of Bad Company 2. I’ve seen some complaints online, but generally most people seem to be digging it too. I feel like a lot of the complaints are from people not realizing it’s a beta and not a full representation of the entire final game.
Apparently this weekend they will be adding some different maps or modes. So that’ll be interesting to see what else is in store. Excited to see what they drop!
Stardew Valley
Whenever one of us starts playing Stardew, me or my wife the other ends up starting a playthrough too and then usually my kids also
Last week I had a spirited debate with my 7 year old about who the best romantic options are. Big Stardew house.
My kids sucked me in. Now I’m telling them to ditch the watering can for quality sprinklers and start a rabbit farm already, since everyone loves a rabbits foot gift.
