How about when you see/feel that knot coming and you freeze mid-throw to slowly and carefully undo whatever went wrong to avoid the tangle.

Never happens. I’m just throwing in the kitchen and presto. I’m good like that.
Also I try to pay more attention to what and where the YoYo is going/doing and I completely forget about the string until the throw bites me or I get a great knot. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
