Yo people! My name is Erik and I just turned 17. I’m an intermediate player with a little experience in the background. I stopped yo-yoing about 4-5 years ago when music took the overhand, but now I’m back full force and I’m currently waiting for my recently ordered Dark Magic to arrive here in Sweden (can barely wait ;D ;D ;D). I got informed about this site on a swedish forum about yo-yo’s. Hope to hear from ya ;).

Hi, I’m XenixHero. I just received my first yo-yo yesterday ;D. I got the YYF Velocity, so far I LOVE it, I’ve practiced for over 3 hours today (6/11/10). Tomorrow is my little brother’s 4th birthday party and I’m going to use my yo-yo to entertainn his friends. I’m 13 years of age, need a TON of practice with my yo-yo, and love to (try to) invent tricks. I came up with one today(don’t know if it already exists), but I can’t seem to do it right very often >:(. I also suffer from major string-burn. 
if you suffer from really bad string burn you may want to try yoyo gloves

Hello all!
Just getting back into the swing of things after somewhere near 20 years off. I don’t have any current favorite tricks or throws. I am however looking forward to getting something new and prefer metal or wood over plastic. Once upon a time a ran a “toy store” and spent much of my time throwing Yo while working. We had most of the top companies of the time and let’s just say work was play. Anyway much has changed and yet remains the same. I looking forward to regaining some lost skills…Bel

Hey guys! my name’s matt, i just got in to yoyoing like 3 months ago so not alot of tricks in my arsenal but what i do know im pretty good at what i do know! I like to do alot of things, like i do a little bit of skateboarding, yoyoing of course, i ride my bike alot, play basketball, and stuff like that ;D. if i really had to pick my favorite trick i’d say it is the gyroscopic flop. i recently bought an 888 without a center trac bearing for 120 bucks. yo not a very good idea. worked about as good as lyn fury so just gonna move on from that. so yep. thats about it

I am a super suckish yoyo-er (or whatever you call it) and just started last week. I hate my Duncan Mosquito for the super responsiveness and the short spin time so I just ordered a YoYo Factory Velocity. The best I can get is a Jamaican flag trick and I am super stuck on the UFO and breakaway. I found this website while looking for a yoyo to buy and it is super helpful with all the videos and this forum so THANK YOU for this website and hello!

Hey guys…name is eric…started throwing when i was 12 or so…got real sick and they wouldnt let me go outside for about a month so i started yo-yo-ing…stopped for a few years when i got better and i thought i learned all the harder tricks…but then i saw a video on youtube of some crazy new tricks and these yoyos that would sleep foever so i got into it again lol…just bought The Dark Magic and im loving it…look forward to talking to you guys…

If you’re doing breakaway and UFO with the velocity it wont work, the velocity is an unresponsive
yoyo meaning you have to know how to bind (theres a video for that btw)

You CAN adjust the responsiveness you know. It can be anywhere from immensly responsive to completely unresponsive. It is my first yo-yo I started about a week ago and it works just fine for me! I hope you enjoy the Velocity you have as much as I enjoy mine! Welcome to Yo-Yo Expert too!
Hello everyone. My name is Ryan and I’m pretty new to yoyoing which also means I currently suck (but I’m working hard to get better). I live in Omaha, NE and I don’t think anybody here throws. I currently use a YYJ Legacy because my Dark Magic is busted! >:( I’ve been looking for an all metal and thought I might find a little help here. I’ve been thinking of a YYF Genesis, or maybe the YYJ Trinity to complete my “Andre Boulay collection” but I’m kind of scared at the price. Any suggestions? They would be much appreciated.
Hi Ryan. Just thought that I’d let you know that I am about 80 miles east of you! Welcome to the forums! Pretty much any of the high end YYJs are worth their weight in gold. So much different than the Hybrids and plastics, not to say that they make anything less than great.
