Hello, My name is Brian. I’m 12 years old and reside in Canada. I use a Lyn Fury (which is now broken- unresponsive+friends=BAD!) I hoping to get a Protostar but until then I guess I will have to wait. I like making yo-yo string(which I might sell if I perfect it),golfing, tennis and of course,yo-yoing. I enjoy learning new tricks and hope to be active in this community. ;D
Hey guys my name is Bryce. I’m 24 and living in West Des Moines, IA. I’m finishing up my degree in MIS and working full time. A friend got a yo-yo at work as a prize, and after playing with it for a few minutes I realized how much I miss yo-yos. I found my old Yomega X-Brain a few days later and started trying to do string tricks. As a kid I never could figure out how to keep it down longer, but after spending some time at yoyoexpert.com realized it was the just the type of yo-yo it was keeping me back. So I placed my order and got my awesome YoYoFactory Velocity and my Plastic Grind Machine and spent the next 4 - 5 days do as much as I could with a Duncan Mosquito. The wait was somewhat excruciating but well worth it. I can definately see myself getting way into yo-yos over the summer and getting more like the Dark Magic, Fiesta, dv888, and Genesis just over the summer. Another buddy at work experienced the same situation after that day our friend won his cheapo yo-yo and is now my “yo-yo buddy” and competition. We are now always trying to one-up the other and showing off new tricks. That’s all for me now, and I hope to check in every so often and maybe become a “Yo-Yo Master.”
i wish i had a yoyo budy. they really help. makes you want to learn new tricks to beat them and you can try their yoyos if you are not sure if you want one. my friend started off with a yoyo buddy and when i met him, he was way ahead of me even though he only started 9 months after me.

Hi, my name is Cristian and I have recently gotten into the sport of yoyoing. I first got into it when I was stuck with a Broken down car with only an old duncan butterfly… After that i moved onto the Yomega Exodus ll. After a short while and a lot of over tightening, that finally broke so I sought to get a new yoyo. luckily the local toy shop in “my happy place” had a nice throw monkey with my name on it. That was the yoyo i learned all the basics with. As soon as I could I came looking online for a nice long spinning unresponsive ball-bearing. Thanks to Youtube I found this site, and quickly made it my home for any yoyoing needs. Soon I bought a nice red DV888. that yoyo got me really into yoyoing, so I take my yoyo with me where ever I go now. And Pretty soon I’m gonna have a nice G5 resting in my hand ready to spin like mad. And this is so, so here I am sitting here typing this. Have a great day buddy ;D
hi, im Gabriel. i’ve always loved yoyoing, but never took it more seriously until, about 5 months ago. i’m shifting between advanced, expert, and master level tricks, out of order. and i recently got a DV888, that’s now my favorite yoyo! oh, one last thing, i know my username should say “you’re”, not “your”
Hi my name is Zsolt,I’m from Romania.I’m 13 years old. I started yo-yoing some years ago. My first yo-yo was a Duncan Avanger, now I’m playing with a YYJ Axiom. I found yoyoXpert while I was searching for some new tricks.
My favorite tricks are: Cold Fusion and Green Triangles. (I don’t know why, but I can’t do Slack tricks)
your the first guy i’ve seen from romania. Welcome. As for slack tricks, you might want to try useing differant string. Are you useing cotten? Cotten isn’t very good for slacks. If so try getting some polyester string. A lot of people on the forums make really good home made string like born2yoyo’s snake skin string.
Wow, I always seen Born2yoyo’s Snake Skin String and always wanted to buy some and I was about to, but oh well. Looked like really good string. At least James still makes some Sick String. :-\
Hi my name is Rachel, I’m 16 years old and female.
I’m sorta new to yoyo. I started playing for a brief period about 4 years ago, but stopped. And just a month ago I found my old Yomega X-brain (xD), tried it out and realized how much I missed playing. So I’m planning on upgrading to a Maverick or even DM in the next month or so and then I want to cosplay as Bridget from Guilty Gear II at my next anime convention.
I have both a maverick and a dm, personally, i’d go with a maverick. The maverick is cheaper, has a beadblast (not a good one but it’s there), is all metal, and spins just as long. The only bad thing is versus the dm, it has a thinner gap, and span so it will be harder to land string tricks on. Them, you might want to try a dash by yomega, it’s the same thing as the maverick but wider. And if you buy a maverick or dash, i’d see if you can get it off amazon.
Sweet! I’d never heard of the Dash, but after doing some research and comparing to DM and Maverick I think I’m gonna go with the Dash. I’m still kinda noobish so I think the wider gap will be more helpful in the long run.
Although now I’m reading some forums on Yomega and I guess alot of people think the brand sucks…
But, I found Dash on amazon like you suggested, sent a couple questions to the seller and am waiting for reaply. Hopefully I’ll have ordered a yoyo by tomorow. ^^
Thanks for the advice!
