Thank you
Dan, glad youāre here!
Thanks Chris
Iām Levi and Iām from Maryland. Got into the hobby a couple months ago and have just been reading and watching a ton of videos (reviews, history and culture, etc.). Iām not completely new to yoyoing, I got in at the tail end of the yoyo boom (2000/2001) in elementary school when I got a Yomega Brain and a VHS tape for Christmasā¦Got a Fireball a little later. My skills were pretty much limited to Walking the Dog, Forward Pass, Around the World, Buzz Saw, and Eating Spaghetti. If there were other people around me who also played and couldāve helped me, I definitely would have stayed with itā¦Oh well.
I really like modern responsive, 2A, and 5A. Also have learned that yoyos are to be added to the list of āThings My Bird Doesnāt Really Likeā.
Welcome to the forums!
Hey everyone, Iām Allen, Iām from Virginia (Fredericksburg, actually haha) and Iām just getting back into yoyoing. I first got into it during the late 90ās yoyo boom with a Duncan Imperial and a Technic, then paused for a few years and got back into yoyoing heavily in the late 2000ās (back then it was all ExtremeSpin and YoyoNation haha). I really loved the community we had in VA back then (Spotsy Mall, Short Pump Mall down in Richmond, one meetup in the basement of Grand Central Station in DC)! And the VA State Yoyo Contest, where I got last place two years in a row! Fell out of yoyoing around 2010 (replaced by skateboarding and knitting mostly).
About a month ago my brother asked if I still had any of my old yoyo videos so he could show a friend, and they wanted me to go do a yoyo demonstration at the elementary school she teaches at. As I mulled over the idea I was like, why did I stop yoyoing again? So I found all the yoyos I had lying around the house, dug out my old collection from my parentās house, and now Iām having a lot of fun getting back into it! Currently trying to figure out what I really like (my gotos have been a Duncan ProFly, a Velocity, and my old reliable Cold Metal Nano Blaster), and getting rid of anything else so I donāt have too many yoyos about the house. Weāll see how long that lasts ![]()
Still not sure about the demonstration though hahaha
Welcome!
Welcome, Iām also a newbie here
Welcome Allen, enjoyed reading your story
Welcome! It could lead to you owning a few new yo-yos!
Most of us arenāt very good at tricks, but we have a blast all the same =]
The Demo sounds exciting!

Welcome back to throwing
I think it would be awesome⦠if I was 100% less shy/socially awkward haha
I hear you! I am the same. Throw yourself into the fire ![]()
Already bought a Dove, Silenus and Shutter. Oh and the TopDeck. On my way! LOL
Hello everyone, my name is Alberto, I am an Italian living in London (UK), I play yoyo for something like 13 years if not more, I lost the count, I have been in the Magicyoyo sponsored team years ago and I had to give up cause study music take much of my time.
I play classical guitar and pianoforte but I make sure to cut 2 hours a day to play some yoyo and relax in the night (even after so many years yoyo is still incredible addictive), someone here wrote that he likes to play while his wife crochet or knitting, itās unbelievable as me and my girlfriend live the same life of that user, it made me laugh, after dinner I cut myself 2 hours to relax playing while she crochet watching some stuff on Netflix.
My favourite yoyo is One drop Aitch and about tricks, miss the days where the was the trick ladder but itās so fun to make my own combos.
I have been looking at the forum for so long and so I was like āwhy do not subscribeā, I hope the forum will not ignite even more obsession to buy yoyos because I have it already by myself lol.
See you around!
Welcome!
Thanks a lot, just trying to understand how to use the forum and how is setup, it takes a bit to get used to a new place ![]()
