One of the best things about this place is the sheer number of different designs of yo-yos you normally wouldn’t see. There are some really neat pieces that get posted, especially stuff from independent makers. I hope you have a good time checking it all out, and figuring out some favorite throws of your own.
Welcome to the forums! Glad you suddenly got that impulse to jump back in. The variety of yoyos nowadays is mindblowing, you could probably spend your entire life just trying every single yoyo. What yoyos have you been trying out lately?
Hey. My name is Rusty and I just really got into yoyo in the last 4ish months. Last yoyo I owned was in elementary school during the yoyo craze of the late 90s. Now throwing a Thesis Invictus, ZGRT Basilisk, or Offset Yoyo Deviant and also have a Shutter and Canon I will pick up from time to time. I’ve found it to be a great, productive, stress relief hobby I can do while watching tv after work.
Hey guys, so I’m usually posting everywhere on here but I don’t think I’ve ever really introduced myself. My name is Austin, I’m 26 and I am a Colorado native (shoutout to all my 303 peeps!) I am currently getting my degree in cyber security. I started throwing when I was 12-13 for maybe a year or two, found expert village and Andre’s tutorials, then just now picked it up again maybe 3 months ago or so. So still shaking off the rust a bit and trying to remember certain things! My favorite throw of all time is a OD Markmont or a CLYW Gnarwhal. My current is either a Duncan Grasshopper Gtx or OD Thorn. My favorite trick is any variation or way to get into a green triangle. Outside of yoyo, I love sports, video games, crime documentaries, working on/racing my drag car, and almost anything outdoors.
I’ve already chatted and what not with quite a few of you but I hope to do so with many more!
Welcome to the forums! Are your yoyo skills rusty? Just kidding. Glad you have found yoyoing to be a great stress reliever, most people find yoyoing to do the same for them as well.
Back in the day I was pretty solid at rock the baby, Jamaican flag, around the world, and walk the dog with my Yomega Fireball. Can’t say I every really even learned trapeze back then. Now I am at the point where I’ve learned a pretty good number of the fundamental tricks and just learned (but not perfected) the hook and Brent stole. I’m definitely progressing quickly, especially compared to my 10 year old self lol
Sounds awesome! You’re pretty far on your yoyo tricks journey already for being just 4 months in. I can’t even do some of the tricks you know like Brent Stole and I have been yoyoing for like 5 years already. Great job and solid progress!
Haha, I get home from work. My wife sits on the couch and crochets while I stand up and yoyo. It’s like a match made in heaven. lol. She gets to laugh at me when I hit myself with a yoyo.
With you. My wife reads on the couch and says she likes the sound of the yoyo spinning in the background. To her, I’m a walking nature sounds app, but with yoyos instead of rain pattering or waves crashing.
Please tell me I’m not the only one that learns a new trick, then tries to show the wife and all of a sudden can’t land the tick with her watching. Lol.
Hello everyone I am Koko I have been yoyoing for 3 months. My favorite style is 5a but I also really like 1a. My favorite yoyo trick is the independent tangler ( its also my newest trick tihi)
