Hello! Just started yoyoing after finding an old yoyo from my childhood! Its a great hobby to do while sitting in teams meetings!

Hello. I am new to yoyo. Actually just got into this because of my kids. Hoping to learn and teach them. I have a something of an addictive personality, so while my every throw is crap and wobbly, I have four yo-yos at home and another 10 on the way via a Facebook BST ā€¦ and after lurking here for the last week, have a list of other yo-yos of different shapes and sizes I want to try out.

Welcome to the forum. I also got back into yoyo when my kids showed interest earlier this year. Ordering new throws can definitely get out of control quickly, be careful lol.

Same here lol. Iā€™m always throwing while listening to Teams meetings if I donā€™t need to be on camera. Nice way to pass the time and learn new tricks. Welcome to the forum.

Hi Everyone, my name is Philippe. I literally got started yesterday after having a dream about throwing yo-yoā€™s around. My 7 year old has a few Yo-Yoā€™s that his older brother gave him. So I took it upon myself to start learning using his Y Omega Gamma Brain Yo Yo.

Right now, I can only sleep the yo-yo and juuuust starting to walk the dog. Baby steps, right? I ordered a Sage Yo Yo last night, so Iā€™m looking forward to that.

Welcome to the forums @PCon0718 and @Bigbaggyoyoer28!

@Bigbaggyoyoer28 you can just post the trick youā€™re having trouble with in the Yo-Yo Tricks category and Iā€™m sure people will help you. Moreover, I think there are some people here from Maryland as well so they could meet up with you to help you. Thereā€™s probably a club you can join as well.

Hi all! My name is Britton, Iā€™m a 35-year-old tech worker living in Tampa, FL. Iā€™m new to yo-yo collecting/playing, and working on trying to learn the ā€œfirst 50 yo-yo tricksā€ list.

Iā€™m not having the easiest time learning from YouTube videos, but I will say that this community has been amazing and super welcoming. I look forward to practicing and improving every day!

Edit - just as a discussion topic, hereā€™s the yo-yos I have currently collected: MK1xSpinworthy Red Blood Cell (I love it), Spinworthy thin Survivalist, 2x OD Deep States, and an Edgeless for my unresponsive practicing.

Welcome Britton! This is a great forum!
I personally think that YYE AndrĆ© Boulay is a great teacher if you havenā€™t watched him already:

Hey! Just getting started with yoyos but really interested in seeing the incredibly well designed yoyos and cool tricks. I picked up a Crystal and Confusion to get things spinning and have been having a great time with them!
