Hi, my name is Andrew and I’ve been throwing for a few months now. I remember in the 90’s I always wanted to do yoyo tricks, but the options of yoyo’s were limited. My mind was blown when I saw what’s been popping for the last decade, so I’ve happily jumped on the yoyo train since that discovery!
Welcome back to yoyos!
Lots of different styles, tricks, and yoyos available now.
I am sure you will find lots of great information on this forum.
Welcome to the forums! Glad you’re back! There are way more things to discover about modern yoyo so stick around and listen!
The gtr looks and plays nice from what i see with some pros throwing i am getting a green one. its very similar to grasshopper gtx looks like
My name is Bill. I was part of the yo-yo fads in the 70s. Back then Yo-yos seemed to come and go about every 3 years. I still have my yellow glitter Duncan Imperial and I remember having a Duncan Butterfly as well
.
A couple years back I found in the house a Red unopened Yomega Fireball which I do not recall purchasing. This resparked my interest. Seemed as if I was destined to get back into it. I also found out all along the Duncan Factory (Flambeau) was a half hour from my house. Then on the internet, I saw that worlds were in Cleveland. Figured I’d check it out. I was hooked.
I went to worlds, not knowing anything about unresponsive. I met quite a few cool people. Like asking Michael Jordan about his shoes, I walked up to Mark Montgomery who was just standing outside the venue and asked him what kind of Yoyo he threw and why that one. He said he threw it cause he designed it. Yah kinda lame, but he smiled at my naivety.
I play old school and not very well. My new $100 collection has 2-loop360, Hornet, limelite, Pro-z, and a merlin. Plus lube, spare strings, bearing tool, belt holder and stickers. I got a $12 case at harbor freight to hold them. pix attached.
Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay! The Harbor Freight case is a great idea.
Time to have fun with yoyos again! Welcome back and welcome to the forums!
Hello everyone! I’m Yoyodog in Japan, started yoyoing 4 months ago. I have recently become interested in yoyos outside of Japan and have already traded with some people on the forum. I hope to make many friends here.
Welcome to the forums! That’s a nice looking case you have there! Glad you’re back, maybe you can check out the RBC for that old school responsive feel.
Welcome to the forums! You’ll definitely make a ton of friends here, everyone here is very nice.
RBC and Daytripper on the top of my want list. My future purchases planned to be personal performance based - learn more tricks, get more throws.
Awesome! That’s a great plan, you don’t end up hoarding so many yoyos but yet not have the skills to play them to their fullest potential.
Having less is better i had 30 throws at one time lol then got i to bimetals sold most my stuff lmaoo
Hello! My name is Nick. I’m 28 years old and started throwing about a year ago. I came over from slinging Begleri and initially just wanted a more involved “fidget” to deal with my ADHD but quickly fell in love and realized there was so much more to this. Currently throwing my Shuriken Senban as my EDC and throwing the YoYoFriends Baryon at home. Didn’t really know about the forum until recently and figured if go ahead and join up!
Welcome to the Forums. I’m glad you joined us!
Hi all, very excited to join the YoYoExpert Community, I play 1A, 3A, 4A, and 5A YoYo’s. I hope I can learn alot here. Thanks for having me. I have a YoYoFactory 888, Halberd, and 4 Magicyoyos. Please check out my channel ( YoyoStuff - YouTube)
Welcome!! I love your content, glad your on the forums now!!!
Thanks, happy to be here!!!
Welcome to the forums! Awesome that you came over from slinging begleri, there are quite a few begleri players here as well if you ever want to talk about begleri. Those two yoyos you have are fantastic!
Welcome to the forums! It’s great that you play 4 styles of yoyo, most only ever play one (I for one, only really play 1A and a tiny bit of 2A). Nice collection you have as well, especially that 888.
