About two years!
Hello, welcome Zeets
Howdy, Iâm Tommy2 from Fort Worth and havenât tried a yoyo since the 6th grade. I, of course only remembering the good times, think it would be nice to try my hand at it again. Back then about the only yoyo was a wooden Duncan so after saving from my paper route I purchased one. Can just see it and feel it now seventy plus years later. Should anyone like to suggest a good one to re-start my enjoyment playing with one please reply. Thank you!
Hi and welcome Tommy2.
Donât think iâm the right person to advice on yoyos as iâm relatively new to the pastime myself. You could do alot worst than start off with a loop 360, and or a Onestar.
If youâre experience was on a wooden Duncan you might enjoy one of the newer wooden fixed axles.
It depends what youâre looking for.
Do you want to continue yoyoing like you used to and maybe learn new tricks on a type of yo-yo youâre familiar with, or are you interested in learning newer stuff with yo-yos that work completely differently but are capable of a much larger variety of tricks?
Iâd really like to start off with as modern of a yo-yo that I might be able to use. Retired, have time and the determination on my side. Maybe ought to set a limit of $50 or below costs, wouldnât mind half that much of thatâll get a good beginners yo-yo. Thank you!
I recommend the yoyofactory Confusion to start with!
For a typical modern unresponsive under 50 I would definitely recommend something from UNPRLD! Something like the Recognition or the Corruption or the Reduction, or you can get a Shutter from YYF.
For a more beginner yoyo Iâd say a First Base
Looked at a review of the confusion and was sold so tried to find one for sale without any luck at all, wow, must be popular. Iâll keep looking.
Oh no I didnât realize they were sold out here at YYE. You can try the yoyofactory site I think they have some.
UhâŚclicked on wrong suggestion to reply toâŚmeant codinghorrorâs suggestion.
Ordered a confusion, Thank You!
Tomorrow Iâll search for a âhow to from scratchâ videoâŚ
I think something like the First Base by Recess or the newer speedaholic by c3yoyodesign or anything similar to those. With that budget, and just getting back into it you could grab a few things even, just to experiment. One other thing to remember though, if nothing else, as far as extras go, donât forget the strings haha.
Thanks for the suggestion on a âhow toâ info site and watched a video on string selection. Didnât pay much attention since I didnât have a yoyo but remember enough that I need to look at it again now knowing which yoyo Iâll be starting out with whenever it gets here.
Most likely will also ask my grandsons about yo-yoing - they might be able to give me firsthand instruction. They have all sorts of gadgets, wish I was in their shoes - not.
I highly agree with the suggestion of a First Base. Couldnât have asked for a better learner throw, in my opinion.
Welcome! It sounds like yoyos sure bring you a lot of happiness. Itâs awesome you still have your first one!!!
hello, my name is Bimo I am from Indonesia, yoyoing since 07â got an account here actively as a yoyo modder and go for a hiatus years ago. and Iâm back since new year of 2019 I played yoyo again, modding again etc. so yeahâŚhelloâŚ
well hello to yo to Bimo
Hello everyone! My name is Sam and I have been yoyoing for about 3.5 years. I started yoyoing back in late 2013 and did for a year before stopping and picking it back up again at the start of 2017. I found out about YoYoExpert in 2013 when I was browising the internet for yoyo related content. Besides yoyoing I like to play video games and baseball. I enjoy hooks and rejection thype tricks (even though I am not great at them. ) and my favorite yoyos are the unprld redcution the duncan windrunner the topyo silenus and the yyf shutter. I am glad to be part of this community.
welcome my dude
