hello, im frank and i consider myself an intermediate, ive been yo-yoing about a month now and im planning on buying a more professional yo-yo. the yo-yo i currently own is a magic yo-yo shadow t8. i find it really good for the price i paid but its taken some hits and stuff. ive been looking at 2 yo-yos specifically and i really like both the YOMEGA Prodigy and the CLYW artic circle. there is a price gab between both but if you guys can tell me more about them and your own thought on either or would be great.

Welcome Frank

Hi I’m Timothy

For me yoyoing is a way to calm me down. I first got started in yoyoing when the NED yoyo company came to my school and a classmate of mine stood up and did cooler tricks than the presenter. I thought that he was really cool and one day he brought a YYJ New Breed to class. Since he was the best player we saw at that time, we all wanted to buy New Breeds. I finally gathered enough money to buy one but I got really frustrated when I couldn’t get it back up. I pretty much gave up on it until about 2 years ago when a friend of mine gave me a yomega hotshot for my birthday. I learned the tricks pretty fast but I broke my hotshot so I bought a DM2. I eventually learned the bind and instantly fell in love with my New Breed. I currently own a: Trigger, DM2, New Breed, and a Classic with a speed bearing.

Welcome Timmy

Hi I am Howard, form Taiwan.
My first yoyo experience was in 1998.
At that time hyper yoyo was popular in my region.
Every kids including me are excited about it.
I was playing a yoyo I can’t remember the name.
Though I didn’t learn much tricks at that time.

After that, it been a while. I start my yoyo journey again.
Have you ever had a moment like,
you want to do something and you have no idea why…
Is like you are alone, walking on the street, after stressful work…
Suddenly, A idea comes out no where,“let’s play yoyo.”
and I say"okay,why not?"
I know it’s kind of random but it is how it start.

For me yoyoing is sort of personal thing,
why I saying that is because that people around me didn’t play yoyos.
I usually play it on my way home, my room…
But I kind of enjoy it, learning new tricks, looping whatever I like~ No pressure.

To get started, the first yoyo I bought is yyf Fast201.
This yoyo mean something to me.
Cause the day I receive it ,my gf break up with me.
So I call it HeartBreaker. lol
It’s really nice yo to start with.
Currently I don’t limit myself in 1a or 2a.
I learn what I feel cool

Welcome to the community Howard!

Yoyoing is a great way to just chill out and have fun. If you have any yoyo questions all of us here on the forums are happy to help.

Hello all yoyoereres… bleh. My name is Pierce, also known as TheArcadeKid.
Ive been yoyoing for about 4 months now but am still terrible lol.

My favorite trick is probably the Green Triangle, I just love the way it looks and feels to do as a finisher.

i currently own a YYF whip, Yomega maverick, (OneDrop Gradient and YYF loop360 coming in the mail supposedly today, majorly excited about that by the way)

I look forward to getting better with all of you.

P.S. thank you YoyoExpert for making such a good site for learning tricks and buying yoyos!

Welcome! This really is a great site I live on these forums literally if yoyoexpert shut down I think I might die

If you’ve been using a Whip the Gradient is gonna be incredible. Those are super stable and can handle about anything.

Plus, Side Effects 8)

xD thats why i ordered it.
thanks guys!

Hello! I’m Nathan. I used to yoyo a lot in elementary school with my trusty Duncan Imperial from the toy store, but I only ever got as far as Rock the Baby. It wasn’t until recently that I met a new friend who introduced me to the whole scene. When the mystery box sale rolled around, I pulled the trigger and I’m having a blast. I already got Split the Atom down 8) I love the site and I’ll see yall around

Welcome Nathan

Welcome Nathan, glad to see you have got some tricks down! Looking forward to meeting you!

Hello, my name’s Dave, thanks for the welcome!

The last time I threw it was way before unresponsives came to market, so, it’s been decades. But, when my kid got into it (it’s now a huge thing at school), I started digging around and found this.

I’ve just received some throws to try, and I imagine my brand new Speedaholic won’t look so brand new come Jan. 1…

Here’s to practicing over carpet…

with practice you wont hit it… have fun sandiego!

Hello Everyone~! I’d like to start this intro with my past experiences and up until now:

The first time I threw was way back when I was still in grade school, and I had my light-up cheap plastic yo-yo to use. It wasn’t much and I dinged it over and over, yet it still was compact and ready for another throw. However, that was pretty much it for that experience until I turned a year or two older.

I still have this yo-yo today and I have just recently picked it up while rummaging through my childhood. The reason why I “rummaged” was because of the new Kendama trend spreading around my High school. You maybe wondering, “Kendama? Well what about your yo-yo?”. The thing was I was averse to Kendamas and one of my closest friends at school had one, Yomega brand btw. It was pretty interesting to me that I did not decide to join the world of Kendamas, and instead I traveled the route of the mighty yo-yo. After several hours of comparing and contrasting, I felt that yo-yos were the thing for me. This led to the “rummaging” of my yo-yo I once had when I was small. Surprisingly, I found it and I was excited to regain my yo-yo knowledge.

Nope…

I learned the hard way doing it, well, I shouldn’t say hard, but a typical way of someone revisiting their childhood toy. You pick it up, you forget that this happens…blahblahblah, rinse and repeat. It was a learning experience that I took in and I learned from my mistakes. To sum this up, my mind was now set for learning and growing, ever since I was that young boy till what I am now. I’ve just bought a YYF Hubstack as a beginner yo-yo to rely as my starting foundation to the more advance levels of play. I plan to buy a DV888 during this Christmas season and hopefully I can start unresponsive play as soon as possible!

Phew, if you made it here, then I thank you for reading ;D Usually I have a weird and funny personality, but I just wanted to let this out on my behalf. Thanks again!

P.S. I know I didn’t have to make a lengthy read haha I just felt like it~
P.P.S I put a lot of “~” in my posts
P.P.P.S I’ll stop now haha~ bye!
