Introduce Yourself!

Sup. My name is Anthony. I currently have a Duncan Pro Z, a YoMega fireball, a Duncan Butterfly, and a Duncan imperial. I don’t use the older yoyos, which are the imperial and butterfly. I’m 13. And I’m newish to yoyos I started yoing 4 years ago. Stopped. And now I’m back at it sand trying to get more serious about it. So any tips and tricks anyone would want to show me it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Check out the tricks section and find out if there’s a local club near you.

Hello my name is Eyan, im from California, im 18, ive been on and off from yo-yoing for about 2ish years. Im just now getting back into it because i missed it for sometime now but my yo-yo (boss by yoyofactory) needed to replace the response pads just never took the time to buy them. i now have a job to be able to afford to purchase whatever i want. i hope to be able to enter a contest so i can meet new people and to meet people that can teach me new yo-yo tricks. The reason i like to yo-yo is it gives me a good feeling to show and entertain people that never seen how cool yo-yoing can be and to be able to witness me putting on a show for people. BTW i never actually ever joined a form of any tipe before

I have a very good interest in quantum computing  . I also enjoy doing security (software and getting into hardware). I like coding stuff haha.

I used to game somewhat haha. League of Legends, CS:GO, Torchlight 2 and others.

Thanks. I actually have checked it. And there aren’t any. Unfortunately

hello my name is Anthony Frandi, im 18 y.o ( december my age will be 19)

my yoyo now is YYF one (waiting for my yoyos to come (musket and t8)
my skill ive learnt just now is split the atom, brain twister, mach 5,rewind(60%),barrel roll

thanks.

I’m a 68 yr old grandfather. Someone sent me the Boing Boing and Double suicide links. Yo-yo’s have changed a lot since I was a kid in Brooklyn.

I’m looking more for my 10 yr old grandson, but it would be nice to be able to demonstrate the correct techniques to help him learn.

I was also checking out the spinning tops for sale. WOW! They can cost as much as a bike! I guess you don’t play “crack top” with a $100 top.

I’ll have to check out some more of the yo-yo trick videos when I get a chance.

Welcome to the site! Boingy Boing is a relatively advanced trick for some people. Have a look at “Mach 5” and “Split the Atom” as starter fancy tricks.

As a 65 year old grandfather (from the Bronx) I say WELCOME< WELCOME<WELCOME!
One of my granddaughters is 8, and likes to throw with grandpa.

Hello everyone! I’m 23, and I live in Sydney. I’ve been yoyoing for about three weeks, and I play whenever I can find time in between my studies. When I was in primary school, I was only allowed to have a cheap duncan imperial and could only do looping tricks… fast forward more than 10 years and here I am obsessing all over again after I stumbled upon a yoyo trick video on youtube. The ONEstar is my first yoyo after all this time and I’m loving it!

Cheers~

The OneStar is a good way to start. Welcome and most of all have fun with yo-yoing.

Hi folks. Name is Stuart. Nice to meet you all.

I am a complete newb in this game. Looking forward to picking up some useful tips and tricks.

Getting into this with hopes to learn with my daughter. We are both newbs. Daughter is 9yrs old. I picked her up a YYF Velocity for her first yoyo and picked up a YYF dv888 pulsar edition for me. Looking forward to learning the in’s and out’s.

Thanks.

Hey there!
I’m a seventeen year old chick in Florida who started doing yoyo on and off last year but really got into it at the beginning of August this year. I started out with a Duncan Freakhand/Freehand from Toys R Us and after a month I graduated up to an Emerald Green Dark Magic II to start working on intermediate tricks. I absolutely love my Dark Magic for non-responsive tricks and still use my Freehand (I call it my Baby Blue) to practice and learn new tricks. It’s gotten pretty beaten up but it still works very well.
I’ve worked my way through the beginner and most of the intermediate tricks on this website and I’ve found this site extremely helpful. It’s taught me all I know about yoyos and tricks!
I mostly practice at school between classes so I don’t get much practice, but I am looking around for clubs in my area who could possibly help me with the trouble I’m having with double or nothing mounts and the Matrix and Rewind tricks.

Happy to be a part of this community! :3

Hello and welcome, you both! If you haven’t, try Miguel Correa’s youtube tutorials to supplement what you get here. They can be really helpful because he annotates his movements with arrows or circles out fingers that you need to take note of, with pauses too so you can just take a good look at hand positions. Stuart, this should be extra useful for you and you daughter

Enjoy~
