Introduce Yourself!

Welcome!

Hey,My name is Angel i’ve been yoyoing for about half a month and am exceeding fast. I cant wait to see what the future has in store. I yoyo with a john ando protostar, and made-up three tricks EXCITING!!!

Welcome! Keep making up tricks and you will be successful and very talented

Hi my name is Trevor, I’ve been yoyoing for about a year and I’m at the skill level expert part 2 in 1a. I own a dark magic 2, protostar and a di base 2 in 1a yoyos. I’m at the skill level intermidiate for 4a and I own a YYJ Go Big. I have done a little bit of 5a but other then that I haven’t done the other one. My goal in yoyoing is to get a sponsor and become a master! I’m far from that but with lots of practice I’ll get there someday.

Welcome!

Hi there, my name is Gilbert Wilfred, I’m quite a beginner and now in process of moving to intermediate, been yoyoing since 2006 and never looked back since then…but, during that time, it’s quite hard to get yoyos such as, Yoyofactory, Yoyojam, I mean, I have to opted for knockoff (Made In China yoyo)…in other words, a copy of Duncan Freehand Yoyo…it performs…wellll !!!..ummmmmm…errrrrrrrrr…okay…perhaps I should leave that behind… ;D ;D ;D, and that flames me in frustration, as I really wanted to try genuine cool yoyos, not some knockoff yoyos…huhuhu…
Anyway…
I’m from Malaysia, and recently ( Christmas 2013 ), there is a yoyo store that sells yoyo from brands such as YoyoJam, YoyoFactory, Duncan ( The real one ), C3 Yoyo Design, Werrd Yoyo, and Something yoyo…It started to inspires me back to do more on yoyoing, and this time, it’s serious…but…I’ve waited for 7 years to get my hands on them… Anyway, I’m back with yoyoing, and even keep a yoyo under my pillow…YOYO IS LIFE… …still learning a few tricks tho…and it’s nice to be here with yoyoexpert, the coolest yoyo store on the planet…Stay cool, and keep on spinning, … PEACE AND RESPECT…

Welcome, Gilbert!

Hello everybody! My name is Robert; I started throwing almost 4 months ago, after a coworker showed me a couple videos on YouTube. Oh man, I was amazed! It was the first time i had ever seen a gyroscopic flop, and it blew my mind! Next I came across videos of Tyler Severence and 5a. My mind was even more blown! I figured it couldn’t be that hard (kids half my age were doing the craziest tricks!), so I bought myself a DV888. Yea, it was harder than I thought… haha, so 4 months later and I’ve learned a handful of tricks up to the advanced part one, and a few expert tricks.

Is there anyone here that lives in the San Diego area? It’s tough learning new tricks as i hardly have any space around my computer to watch tutorials and throw at the same time… It’d be cool to maybe learn from another player. San Diego YoYo club??? I think i saw something on here but i don’t know if it is still going on…

Anyways, I’m looking forward to maybe meeting some of you peeps one day and hopefully learning some new stuff!

Hi, guys. I’m Peter Wilson, a 14-year old who is obsessed with yoyos. I spend hours every day on yoyos and am getting a lot better. My parents gave me a duncan butterfly for christmas a year ago, and after trying it out i got frustrated and quit. Now a year later my best friend has introduced me to modern yoyoing, and i spend every spare minute practicing. I currently have a Duncan strix and a couple of magicyoyos. My friend told me about this site, and I have moved from beginner to advanced 2 in just a few months. I hope to meet some new people and get more involved in the yoyoing world. Thanks!

Welcome, Peter! That Butterfly is a really good yoyo for the new wave of responsive yoyoing. Mine’s really good at stalls. Check it out!

Well I’m jason and i live in California. i wanted a place to talk yoyos with people

Info from people that speak the ā€œthe yoyo talkā€ and my first actual quality yoyo was yoyo jam dark magic2
And im just obsessed with yoyos!!

Hey, it’s been ages since I’ve been a part of the yoyo community but I’ve always had a throw on me since the day I’ve stopped showing up on forums (I was a part of the forum YoMike ran). I’d really hope to find out that some people I know are still active on here. I can’t remember anyone specific off the top of my head, I know zamstrom/zammy was a huge influence on here last I was a part of the community.

EDIT: Crap, sorry guys, I just noticed the ā€œintroduce yourselfā€ sub-forum, could some kind moderator please move this topic? pleeeeeeease?

Well you’re in the right place. And heck I’m 2 years younger than you.

Whats up guys and gals! I’m Douglas, 20 years old, live In metro-Detroit and recently fell in love with yoyoing again. I used to yoyo about 8-10 years ago, I had a Duncan Speed Beetle and learned the basics, It was fun but I was never good. A trip to toys-r-us 3 weeks ago brought me passed the yoyo’s, I saw a speed beetle and bought it because I just lost my job and knew I had alotta time to kill. I’m really glad I did. I have 3 YYF throws now, a Velocity, a Whip, and my newest throw, which is awesome to me, a Protostar. My other Hobby is cars, I have a stanced 1992 Honda Prelude 4WS, and a 1992 Nissan 240sx built for drifting.

Welcome!

Have to admit that I wouldn’t have guessed Sayaka Toyofuku would be a foreigner in Japan. I know people with Japanese names are born and live throughout the world, though, so that’s a bad assumption!

Welcome to the boards. I haven’t seen anybody off the top of my head that’s in Kyoto, but there are a few foreigners in Japan who visit the boards from time to time.

Enjoy yoyo! It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to throw your first ā€œSleeperā€ or rockin’ your own minute-long combos… there are people of all levels here!

hey what up guys!!! I’m Robert from Hawaii (Ewa Beach)… 26 years old…yeah I know I’m pretty old but I haven’t thrown in over 10 years now (actually since like 2000). last yo yo I owned was a superyo renegade. now I’m back after watching some vids on YouTube, plus I want to kick the kendama craze out the door here in Hawaii with yo yo’s again. right now I’m using a yomega ooch but caught on buying a yoyo factory proto? prono? star or a yoyo jam inspire. hopefully I can learn all these new sick tricks I’ve been seeing.

Welcome, Robert! Both Protostar and Inspire will get you as far as you want to go.

A TONNE of guys as old or older than you around here. I’m 40 myself.

Enjoy!

Thanks. I’m very surprised on how yo yos advanced from when I was throwing. I thought I was good back then but seeing all the videos I’m like a beginner again lol. If anything which would you prefer out of the 2 I’m looking at?
