Hi, my name is Josh and Iām making a return to the yoyo scene. I was an avid thrower 13 - 15 years ago when I was in middle school and early high school. I started practicing unresponsive yoyoing a couple of months ago and just got a YYF Shutter today for Christmas. The industry has changed quite a bit since I was into it last, so getting up to speed with modern throwing has been an exciting process so far.

I thought I should introduce myself!
I go by UsagiCat basically everywhere but some may choose to call me ācatā.
Iām actually not super new to yoyos as I was quite involved around 07 on yoyonation. Took a break due to work but started to get back into it again recently.
Looking around, it seems things changed a bit 
Itās been a while since Iāve gone to a contest, IYYO in New York in 08 was my last. Hope to maybe go to some local contest this coming year.
Besides yoyoing, I am involved in cosplay! I cosplay as sailormoon every year at fanime! I also volunteer there so if any Yoyo players go, Iāll look out for you!

Well, since YoYoExpert mods said to go here, I have come lol. Hi I am Jonathan, I am 14 and have been yo-yoing for a month now, my current throws are the OneDrop Yelets as well as the OneDrop Rally. I have been told i picked it up really fast as i can already complete all of the tricks in the intermediate section as well as the matrix, plastic whip, Boing-e-boing (sometimes), and wormhole. I am currently working on Grandma kimmits sandwich, I rather like tech tricks.

Hello my name is Angus and welcome for Australia. Im currently a HUGE yo yoing noob and i only have 2 yo yos. My first yoyo was a limeted edition coke yoyo. My second yo yo was the yo tech triple switch. My current yoyo is the yomega dash. Iām more of a computer geek than a yo yoing pro but i picked up my old yo tech about 2 months ago and now im praticing hard on my dash. Like i said im more into computers. Iām typing on my second custom PC that Ive build and love building pcās. Anyway cant wait to get more into this forum and get better at yo yoing in general.

Hello all, my name is Barrett, I've been yo-yoing for quite some time now, about 5 years now. In the past i used this forum a lot and was known as yo-bear, haha, but then i took some time off and gave my entire collection away. a dumb idea on my part.but i needed time for football, high school, the ladies;) sike.. but about 6 months ago i was in a toy store and purchased a Yomega maverick, not the best, but it helped me walk the path yet again, to where i once was. actually I'm way better now than i was a few years ago cx
Now I have a collection of 7 throws soon to be 8, I'm making free styles, and I'm thriving in my hobby. i love it. I'm kinda of a well rounded guy, I'm 17, in high school, I'm in chorus, i play varsity football, I've actually got a full ride to play football at Faulkner university in Alabama, i play guitar, make and love Dubstep, and i YoYo, of course!!
i would like to try my hand at making new friends on here, because currently i seem to be the only yoyoer in pensacola florida.. so if you wouldn't mind, if you're in the area, please don't hesitate to say high. also say was sup if you're in the Montgomery,Alabama area, since ill be going to college there.

Welcome Bear man. Congratulations on the scholarship, get that education as well. Sounds like your quite the proficient yoyoer as well. Sorry to hear about your last collection. I used to play this game war hammer 40k and had literally thousands of dollars of models which I painstakingly built and painted on top of the money. Gave them all away after I wasnāt into it for that much longerā¦ugh, getting back into it now that its later in life and super bummed I donāt have my guysā¦ *tear
Hello. I am Disastorm and I am pretty new to yo-yos. I only last did it back in elementary school back when everyone was doing it at the time. A few months ago I decided to buy some yo-yos again and since then Iāve been practicing looping which I can do ok with each hand, but not yet with both at the same time. It started getting a little boring just looping a yoyo repeatedly so I recently decided to try to learn the standard string tricks and also freehand since freehand looks interesting, although I really havnāt learned anything yet in these 2 styles.
That is great, I also go to Fanime every year, although I donāt often do real cosplay anymore.
Welcome! The ālearnā section on this site is a great place to start learning the regular string tricks and freehand. I suggest learning more string tricks before actually trying to learn freehand though. You can still always play around with freehand though! Welcome to the forums!

I just started yoyoing this month! (december)
I was at work one day (TDBANK americas most convient bank) and found a tdbank branded yoyo we had laying around, used it. Forgot how much fun yoyoing can be, destroyed. and bought a metal drifter. It was great i learned very fast but the spacers became torn and eventually i had to take them off. So i got some silicone ones. and had the same issue D;. Although im sure its all because of my newbieness. I decided to buy a shutter and start there. I spend a lot of my time on yo tricks watching videos. But here i can get into the culture more.

My name is Abdullah (Dylan, if my name is too hard to pronounce). I am 13 years old and I am from Pakistan. I started my yoyoing journey a while ago. I was always interested in yoyos; the cheap duncan butterflies. About a year ago, my friend Isaac brought a Duncan Metal Drifter. Of course, I was interested about the thing and he let me borrow it for the day. Thatās where I began the curious, yet interesting path to āprofessionallyā yoyoing. A month later, I took a long trip from California to New york. My grandfather took me to Toys R Us. Thatās where the Metal Driter was sold. I was really excited about my first yoyo. Eventually, it did wear out. Before it broke, i was learning tricks by the dozens, and i was ready for the advanced tricks. While learning, I found this great website that goes by the name of yoyoexpert.com. Most of the tricks I learned were from here. As a surprise, my dad bought me one of my favorite yoyos, the YoyoJam Dark Magic II (in translucent green). Words cannot explain how excited I was. Going through, learning advance tricks, school started, and guess who I met. Yep, it was Isaac, and ironically, he got the dark magic too (in black)! Because of the fact that we both like yoyoing, we were crazy enough to go ahead and make a yoyo club. Few weeks later, we got a dozen of members and raised a lot of money! With that money, we got each member a YoyoFactory Whip and us a YoyoFactory G-Funk. This is my second yoyo. It has been 4months now and I am getting a YoyoFactory Shutter, and my future yoyos will be a YYF DV888, YYF Supernova, YYF Ricochet, YYJ Hex, & YYJ AI.

Hello My name is Damarco Samuel I am 13 years old I am from South Carolina and live in Darlington I have a velocity yoyo and yomega yo mod.I been yo-yoing for a while but I just started bac in December.I am pretty good but not all that I try to get clyw yoyo but they cost to most so I just have to stick with cheap yoyo into I get older and be able to get better yoyo thatās all if anyone can send me a clyw yoyo or help me out I while appreciate it thanks Happy New Years!!!
