I remember having one of those light-up yoyos (with the two AA batteries) as a kid and being able to make it go up and down pretty well, and that was it…fast forward a whole bunch of years to this past summer when a friend at work had a Duncan Dragonfly on his desk and I was all, “Hey lemme play with that!” I could barely walk the dog or rock the baby, so he gave me a Duncan Mosquito since I have small hands and he thought it would suit me better. He jokingly said, “Ok, learn two new tricks by Monday,” and I thought that was sort of a homework assignment. I Googled everything about beginning yoyoing, starting with how to tie a slip knot, and eventually ended up here. I did come back that Monday having learned two tricks from the tutorials here ;D and I’m now working through the advanced tricks (though on a different yoyo than the Mosquito).
This is pretty much exactly my story, I could throw a good sleeper 10 years ago with a X-Brain, and fell out of the loop since then. Then this summer I saw my friend had a Duncan Bumblebee on his desk and I was shocked that they actually finally put bearings in yoyos. So I had to get one and I started here for tutorials. Now I have spent nearly a grand or more on throws (16 total yoyos) and I am up to the expert tutorials here.
Thanks! I’ve since gotten around 10 yoyos trying to figure out what I like. I’m currently pretty into the speedaholic, and the genesis from the mystery box.
Hey! I’m Keiran
I’ve being yoyoing for ages now but i don’t play with it everyday, more of a Kendama person atm, but i usually take turns of what i’m into, haha. Despite the fact i’ve being yoyoing for some time now i still ain’t too good but when i want to learn i can usually pick things up quite quickly.
At the moment i have a YoyoFactory ONE and have being wanting to upgrade for ages but i spend all my money on other things :3
My other hobbies are: Fingerboarding, skateboarding, yoyoing, drawing and kendama, i recently got a Terra Pill and i’ve being unable to put it down just lately 0_0

I started yoyo info when my friend showed it to me. My first yoyo was the yoyo factory velocity. I learn most my tricks here. Any one have any recommendations on yoyos they like?
Hello everyone, i am new to yoyoing, my friend has gotten me into it and it is awesome!!! i am 16 and besides yoyoing i like parkour, slacklining, running, and rockclimbing, haha anything that i can use to show off with when girls are around!!!
Hi, I’m a mother of some young yoyoers, 10, 8, 6 and 1. I am the official knot remover. I’m learning a lot of stuff about yoyos from the kids and looking to find answers for the questions they ask. My oldest loves this website and I have found that it has been very helpful.
Welcome to the site! My oldest should be getting close to the time he wants to throw a yoyo or two, but I’m not picking knots just yet. The youngest just turned 1, so a while to wait there.
