Iām Kat. Iāve played and collected yo-yos for quite some time now. Been on a hiatus for about 5 years Iād guess. Still somewhat in one, but for some reason was compelled to make an account here. I was on YYN under the same username, so some of you may recognize me.
I havenāt decided why Iām here. Maybe Iāll figure that out.
Oh ya, if people are looking for older throws, I may have them and may be willing to part with them =X.
Haii, my name is Jeremy, Iāve been yoyoing for a while, but it was always an on and off thing. I started with a raider, then i picked up a FHZ and started unresponsive.
As of now, I have a Trainwreck, and my brothers Boss. Still trying learn slacks and whips cause they look so cool! Wish i never stopped, but its never to late to pick it up again.
There have been many events in my life that have taken my attention away from some of my hobbies. To name a few: work, relationships, and just other hobbies and interests.
Other hobbies and ānon-productiveā activities include videography, photography, and video games.
Though my excuses [for taking a break from yoyoing] are very much arguably weak ones, I intentionally left out the more personal obstacles Iāve began to surmount.
Agreed on your claims of yoyoing providing a reason to film. One-man (or woman) filming is a beast within itself. If I had access to local talent I may be inclined to partake in yoyo videos. Currently my lack of skill hinders my ability to release videos with āgood contentā when it comes to mechanics and performance ;).
To throw another weak excuse at you ā the room around my computer isnāt adequate for most play.
I may take it up again in the near future. I used to write reviews on some yoyos on YYN, but Iāve long been removed from the scene. I do enjoy keeping up on the latest news, which is probably one of the main reasons I decided to post :).

I lack skill in terms of yoyoing, too, but for me the biggest obstacle is that you simply cannot film whatās in your head. āA shot where the camera is panning around and then finally pulls focus from face to hand just as the yoyo comes back from a bindā canāt be done with one person.
Anyhow, best of luck and again-- peek in from time to time!
Ok, well GregP and Eyper already covered videography and video games so I will cover photography.
There are some really good photographers on the forum. There is a amateur yoyo photography thread stickied under the unrelated section which I shall link to here.
Thanks for the link. Iām not surprised that there are numerous photographers in the yoyo world as Iāve encountered them before :). Iām actually not very keen on product photography, but I do it from time to time.
Iāll have to venture into other parts of the forum and see whatās going on. Maybe Iāll bump into a familiar face, or meet new ones.
Thereās also a non yoyo related thread I donāt have the link at the moment but Iāll post it if I can muster it in the near future.
Welcome to the forums and hopefully back into the cold of yoyoing and maybe a side adventure into things familiar but yet still foreign enough to be fun journey into something else to take your mind off of the daily grind!
