Introduce Yourself!

Welcome!

ello :D,

My name is Brooke Merritt, and im out of the Richmond VA area. I got into yoyoing almost 2 years ago now after my friend Alex Curfman introduced me to it. Last year I made a yoyo club at my high school, and right now we are around 30 strong  I havent competed anywhere but I attended VA states and plan to go back, I might compete this year just for fun. I like throwing One Drops & would love to make some new friends in the yoyo community. Take it easy!

-Brooke

Welcome!

You came to the right place you can meet all kinds of yoyo freinds here

Hey,

My name is Jeremy, I just recently picked up yoyoing. I find it incredibly addicting trying to learn new tricks. I hope to keep getting better. I started with a Fast 201, but wasn’t really happy with how much it bit back. So I just upgraded to a Dark magic II Ghost Edition. I’m happy to join a yoyo community, doesn’t seem like many people do it anymore these days…

-Jeremy

Welcome!

Good choice on the DMII Ghost addition that throw looks amazing

Im looking forward to meeting all of you.

Welcome!

YYE is a great place for meeting other throwers

Hey! So I have been yoyoing for quite awhile now and recently got back into the scene after I moved to Chicago and heard about Illinois States.

I hope to learn some new stuff and keep in touch with the community here!

Welcome!

hello all! I am a pretty good yoist (I believe) and can to almost any trick untill the master section, in witch the only trick I understand what to do is yuuki slack. My current yoyo is the yuuksta, and my favorite style is 1A, although I also enjoy one handed looping, counterweight, and mobius.
My favorite trick is by far the ladder escape, though hirioki suzuki’s speed combo is pretty crazy.
my favorite yoist is hirioki suzuki.

Welcome! if your having trouble learning a trick go to the ■■■■■■■■■■ section and see if anyone can help

I’m Zach. I bought a yoyo at a toy store on whim a year ago, and was really enjoying it, and a few months later I was at a snowboarding shop in southern Alberta and they had some SPYY yoyos, and I walked out of there with an Amplifier, which I’ve been using since then. I love it, and I really enjoy taking the time to learn something new and the satisfaction of getting better and better at it.

Welcome!

The amplifiers a pretty rare yoyo now that spyys out of buisness so youve got a colectible now

Hey guys  I first started with yoyoexpert a few years ago having yoyo’ed for about 2 years. After which I took a long hiatus and forgot about my throws. I’ve since come back to this awesome addiction and am relearning tricks and learning new ones from the tuts on this website as well as a few from youtube.

list of throws;
Hitman (Sky Blue)
Hybrid Hitman (Red)
Hitman PRO (Grey)
Lyn Fury (Red, Black)
Eneme (Red)
DM2 (Red)
Kickside (White)

I am trying to collect all JD’s signature yoyo’s, XCon, X Convict, XCon PRO, Trigger. Ive spotted a couple ‘Victs here and there, and I’ll have to pay pretty high to get them. All in the name of Yoyos’! Let me know what you guys have seen in the realms of old Cons’ etc I’d be greatful

Welcome! colecting yoyos is a fun thing to do

Hi, My name is Andrew, and i am a yoyo-holic. haha. I’m from Hawaii, 21 years old, and i’ve played with classics from yomega since i was young.

i picked it up again about 1 1/2 years ago after seeing modern day advanced moves on youtube. Not too long after picking it up, i broke my thumb and was cast ridden for a good 5 months or so. Not too long after my cast coming off, my main yoyo’s (a magic yoyo) response pad broke and other pads would not fit it. i was going to get silicone fill, but i put yoyoing down for a while because it seemed i wasn’t having much luck. I managed to snag 2 mystery boxes from this past week so that is the restart of my yoyo journey and i hope to stay with little issues getting in my way haha

My friend Michael O’Connell was actually a part of the High Performance team out here about 10 years or so ago and really inspired me to get into it.

i don’t have a favorite yoyo quite yet as i’ve only dabbled with a couple magic yoyo’s, YYF One, YYF Whip, YYF GrindMachine, and YYF Protostar. But i have kept my eyes on brands and hope to be able to try as many as possible, as well as collect.

My favorite yoyo artists (yes, artists haha) is Paul Han as of now. I don’t know many people, but i do love his dynamic style.

Thanks for reading through this Essay of an introduction.

Aloha!

Aloha! Welcome to the forums, Thatcrew.

Welcome! a mystery box is a good way to restart yoyoing

Hi. My name (needless to say) is “Bananafarm.” I found out about yoyoexpert with a lot of luck: I google searched the braintwister, found Andre’s tutorial, and have been hooked ever since.

I’m glad to say that I have progressed past braintwister. I’m currently working on Spirit Bomb, Bucket Hops, and Reverse Trapeze Whip. Spirit Bomb’s elusive first pop is killing me, but I just need to practice Bucket Hops and RTW to build up some consistency. Currently, I throw a Protostar (w/ concave bearing), but I’ll soon be looking to upgrade to a DM2 or a Hitman

A few days ago, I taught my friend Hiroyuki Suzuki’s (I hope I spelled that correctly) Eli Hop mod where the yoyo shoots to the side, almost horizontally. He hasn’t stopped attacking me with it ever since
(What can I say? I boomerang my older sister every day.)

Thx for the great tutorials. They have taught me everything I want to know.

-Bananafarm

Welcome! i even boomarang people every once and awhile
