Hello! my name is Emanuele, i’m from italy
i love drawing, listen to the music (epic and power metal :D) and of course yoyoing!
Hey all,
My name is Dan, I love yoyoing. I just turned 21, and my awesome girlfriend bought me some sweet yoyos to celebrate. I started yoyoing about a year ago, when i found an impereal in car i bought, I got really good with what that yoyo could do, and it has been all downhill from there. I love 1a, and slacks and whips. I am currently going to school to be a wind turbine technician. I love everything about it. I also love slacks and whips.
Welcome you three! Cool stories, glad to be able to meet you
Welcome aboard, and I’ll look forward to seeing you guys around the forum
Thank you :). I’m probably the youngest one on this forum
Hi guys… It’s Draco, from Romania.
I used to play with yoyo but when I saw the whole new tricks people are doing with regular yoyos, I got excited. Currently, I am not really good at my yoyo, but I hope getting better as by practising. Traditionally, I love to play with The Wooden Wagon but it is harder to do such tricks with a wooden yoyo. My fav tricks are skyrocket and rattlesnake (dunno why).
there are some pretty young kids on here, but age makes no difference. There’s so much variety
And welcome Draco! Cool to have you on and I hope to see you around! And it’s awesome you got excited hen seeing the modern yo. That’s awesome
Hello fellow yoyoers,
My name is Andre. I am fairly new into the world of yoyo. Realistically I have been throwing a yoyo since I was 6 or 7 years old and it all started because Steve Brown came to my elementary school and showed us a bunch of tricks. He ended up picking out a couple kids from the crowd to be his “special helpers” and those special helpers got a free yoyo, a free 5 pack of strings and a free 1 on 1 lesson with him. I was so amazed by what he could do and how easy it was for him to show me how to do tricks like Baby in the Cradle, Eiffel Tower, Walk the Dog and a couple others. Before he left my school he gave each of his “special helpers” a free book that showed us a whole bunch of tricks (most of which I felt were entirely too advanced for myself so I eventually gave up).
Jumping 20 years into the future, I was standing around at work (as a meat clerk for a grocery store) and I had finished cleaning up after all of the butchers. As I stood there bored out of my mind I started to think about all of the fun that I had playing with a yoyo and how much easier it would be to kill time at work until I could punch out. That was precisely when I decided that I would start to get back into yoyo.
I went to visit my friend and we stopped by a Toys 'R Us and I saw the small kiosk of yoyos and I was kind off off put by the fact that the selection was so minimal. I ended up buy a Duncan Mosquito and as soon as I threw it down for the first time I immediately remembered how much fun it was to play with a yoyo. From this point I found the YoYoExpert website and started browsing all of the yoyos for sale. I ended up buying a YYF Grind Machine and as soon as it showed up, I had absolutely no idea how to play with it. I learned how to bind and from that point I was obsessed.
As an anniversary present from my girlfriend, she decided to buy me a YYF SuperNova and from that point on I have had a yoyo on me at all times and I have tried to learn a new trick every day. I have been playing for about 3 months now and decided to get into the community a little bit. I’m sure I will meet some really interesting people and learn some cool new things along the way.
I apologize for the novel but I figured this would be a good place for me to just ramble before bed and introduce myself to some new people. I hope you all enjoyed my rant and I’m sure I’ll talk to more of you soon.
-Andre
Welcome
BTW you carry the name of the yoyo master that runs this site.
Honestly, that is probably the first time in 27 years that, when I introduce myself, that the first response is, “Oh, like Andre the Giant” lol.
Howdy, My name is Justin and just got a Yomega Crossfire. It is the first yoyo I have touched in almost 22 years. I don’t really have any favorite tricks yet and I am actually have a newbie problem with my yoyo. I found this place by doing a google search so I hope to learn lots here.
Welcome Justin, no worries. I am in a very similar place as yourself. Welcome to the forums!
Not exactly. Andre Boulay is the National Yoyo Master that runs this site and is the person who is found in the Learn section of YYE
I understand that, I was just noting how normally when I introduce myself, people usually make the connection to the old WWF wrestler.
Hey everybody my name is Grant, and I have a passion for yoyoing. I have been yoyoing for about a year now. Right now I am throwing a Theory.
Hi guys,
My name is Matt - I’m from Australia and I’ve been developing a new site for the YoYo community where they can rate their own yoyos to help others out in the yoyo community! It is called YoYoReview. Hopefully everyone can go and rate their yoyos, so that when others want to buy one, they can go and check out what others think before buying.
Check it out here at: yoyoreview.com.
The site is still very new and I’m slowing filling it out with new yoyo models… it’s a bit of a slow process, but I’m getting there! If anyone here in the forums has some ideas of which yoyos they would like on the site, let me know!
Please help me build up this site to be a great place for everyone in the yoyo community to go so we can share what we think about our throws!
YoYo Review - know what to throw!
Matt.
thats sweet man! I’ll be sure to check it out when I get on a real computer! I’d be happy to help with brainstorming if you’d like. I hope to see this thing prosper, it’s a great idea
- just got on the site, it’s stellar my friend! Keep up the awesome, and I can’t wait to see it blossom into a full fledged review site ;D
Oops, mistaken post, how do I remove??
You don’t. You can talk to a mod I suppose, but unless it’s going to create a world crisis, you could just leave it to die of its own accord!
