Thanks for the warm welcome GregP
Hello all!
Hey, my name is Grant. Iām a 25 year old army veteran. I was into yoyoing in the late '90s when I was like 10 years old. I was going through some old boxes looking for something the other day and I came across my Yomega Fireball. I have been playing with it nonstop! In fact my finger is raw and my hand is all bruised hahaha!
Iām getting back into it. I just know a few basic tricks and I donāt know hardly any of the terminology. I already learned a few useful tricks on Youtube! (youtube didnāt exist last time I picked up a yoyo!)
I definitely want to start learning some new tricks and get a new yoyo.
Hi my name is Darren and I started yo-yoing when I was 7, but then I took a LONG hiatus and now Iām 14 and I picked it back up and I have been yo-yoing now for 7 months straight. I been on these forums for a while now but was just too lazy to actually register. I have 3 yoyos; a Protostar, Onestar, and a Severe (the severe has some problems atm thought :P) I live in Georgia, and it seems that there is no one here that is into yoyo (i.e. no competitions, besides worlds, but that in FL) Anyway, I hope to improve my skill and I believe that YYE will help me with that :).
Hey,you started off same as me! Glad to have you on the forum!
Thanks Ulmer
No problem, anything to make a person feel accepted
Hi my name is McCando, weird huh, but at least I always get my name as a username online.
Iām 18 years old and Iām a student at California State University of Los Angeles studying Electrical Engineering. I also have been in a relationship with a very lovely girl for 19 months who loves it when I yoyo and bought me a Paul Han X YYF OneStar for Valentineās day. Sheās awesome.
Iāve been yoyoing for about a year and a month now and I donāt see myself stopping anytime soon.
My favorite yoyo would probably be my old Berserker which ended up stripping on me, rest in two pieces. I ordered a Sleipnir 4 days ago and hope to fall in love with that too. I also hope to go to worlds in two years when it will be in Japan and finally meet another yoyoer for the first time.
I also like to play Dota 2 and LoL sometimes if anyoneās interested, hit me up.
Welcome!
Name: Richard Miller
Nickname: ā ā ā ā
Age: 19, nearly 20.
Location: Vancouver, Washington. About 10 minutes from Portland.
Favorite Yoyo: It all depends on what I want to play with. I like trans-axles a lot, but mostly play with bbs. Fixed is fun too sometimes with lube.
Started playing yoyo: About a month ago.
Favorite Player: Right now, Yuji S-Kelly.
Wow, you seem really into it-
A month of yo-yoing and you already have a 888 and a Chief???
and a brass-rimmed leviathan.
IKR?
My best yoyo is a Protostar
Name is Richard, from Oklahoma. I havenāt yoyo-d in 15 years and hope to get back into it shortly.
I have fond memories of yoyoing while in eighth grade, and spending hard-earned money on a Saber Raider (which were about $30 back then, if I recall correctly). I still own it, along with my trusty Fireball.
In any case, thanks for having me. Iām looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
No, Iāve just played with them.
Hello, YoYoExpert.com. I have been hanging around here for a while, watching videos and reading the forums and buying all sorts of fun things, and thought itād be fun to make an account. I have a passion for throwing and never leave home without three throws and at least a half a dozen spare strings. Hoping to learn a lot here and continue to improve. Cheers!

Hello Everyone. Im Forest, I began throwing when i was very young 4 or 5 i believe. I stopped somewhere around the 5th grade. Then during middle school picked it back up in the 8th grade for a year when my local library held club meetings and such. Through High school i didnt throw. Now that i have recently graduated half a year early from high school i am now picking up throwing again. Any help or tips you have for me would be much appreciated just PM me. Since ive been out for a while i dont really know many good brands or anything but i did just order a YYF One basically because its 10 bucks and i heard it was not to bad of a throw. and i picked up the YYF Dv888 and the YYF POPstar. I do not have any of my old throws anymore so also any tips of where to get some used or new for a good price let me know.
Hello all,
My name is Rich and Iām 40. Glad to see that Iām not the oldest person that is obsessed with this hobby. I started when I was about 10, then stopped, then started at 25, then stopped, then started again at 30 then stopped and started again at 40 because my kids found my old bag-o-yoyos. Im sad to say that Iāve never seen another advanced yo yoer throw in person. My progress is slow; learning solely from youtube vids that make me very sad (they are so above my wildest skill dreams). I tried to learn Rancid Milk about 10 years ago, and got so discouraged that I quit for a decade. So now Iām back and determined to learn my nemesis trick. I still donāt even know what the heck is going on at the end of the thing, but Iāll get it. I love the whip tricks that people are doing and am anxious to learn grind tricks. Love my Dark Magic II. It is so stable and perfectly responsive/unresponsive itās almost like cheating. Lately I find I am gravitating to the YYF Whip. Love the lightness of it. I can throw it hard and it wonāt sever my finger, and it moves so fast I actually feel like a good player at times. Anyway just introducing myself.
Welcome Rich and Forest! Iām 39, so youāre edging me out by a few months, Rich. Lots of us āoldguysā around here, but lots of young people, too. A really wonderful and diverse community.
Iām going to organize an Dallas FtWorth area Get Together for some time this spring. Keep a look out in the āYoyo Contest, Clubs and Eventsā section. Oklahoma isnāt too far of a stretch if i can convince enough people to show up.
Hi Forest!!! 8)
Im over 30 if it matters⦠plenty of older throwers here.
