Welcome to the YoYoExpert Forums!

If this is your first time please take a minute to introduce yourself. Just share a bit about yourself, your favorite yo-yos or tricks, and how you found out about YoYoExpert.

Hello my name is Nicholas I’m 13 years old and love to YO-YO. I have the YO-YO factory supernova and love practice tricks.

Hi my name is Nicholas I’m 13 years old and love to Yo-Yo. I started about 4 months ago and hope that I am pretty good. I have the Yo-Yo factory Supernova and have been practicing a lot.

Hello everyone my name is Stephen and I am 22. I’m very new to yo-yoing but I already feel like I am hooked on it. I picked it up as a hobby because I wanted something extra to do with my time now that college is ending.

hey out tthere I’m Tim I’ve just lately come back into the world of yoyo. I got started in high school back in the ancient days before smart phones and youtube. And then I stopped playing for a long while my yoyo’s stuck in my dresser drawer and forgotten for a decade. then recently my nephew came over and showed me how he had learned to yoyo and his mom said i used to play too. Anyway that was two weeks ago and honestly I cannot forthe life of me remember why i stop playing for so long. plus i am amazed at how the web has taken the game to a new level I am finally hitting tricks that I read about but had never seen because I just didn’t know anyone who could teach me how to do them. so Anyway that’s me and old timer coming back into the game and loving it more than ever. give me a little time and I’ll be back to form. besides now i have a nephew to keep ahead of so I’ll be needing the help to com pete with the kids out there today so drop me a lin send me a tip and keep showing me the yoyoing has only gotten more awesome than i remember it was in the 90’s

Welcome aboard! A whole bunch of us “old timers” around these parts. Though in actuality, it’s such a great crew of people that age isn’t really a factor. But suffice it to say, all ages are welcome and active here. Let’s show those nephews that we have some tricks up our sleeves.

Hello there! I’m Edgar, so i started to yoyo about 3 years ago, but only did it for about 6 months. I started out with a Duncan Mosquito and pretty much went threw all of Andre’s trick till i couldn’t because of my humble yoyo with an astounding sleep time of 30 seconds :P. Now im back trying to get back in the game. I just recently ordered a YYF Whip and a Grind Machine and i am super excited to get them in the mail! I already know the basics of yoyoing and i consider my self an intermediate player. I’m hoping to continue yoyoing and move on to better yoyos. I’d also be glad to receive tips and tricks from anyone! Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. We’ll all help you out!

Hi there. 31 and finally learning how to yo and me and my son have found a hobby we both enjoy doing together. I’m excited so… here’s a little background of the past few weeks.

This christmas my son asked for a yoyo. Just this week we both committed to learning a new trick every day. and practicing for at least 30 minutes. Hopefully I can find some guys in the Dallas area that can teach my 11yo kid some stuff cause he’s going to pass me up pretty soon skill wise. He’s yoyoing every spare minute he’s got. Whick is much more time than I can commit.

So if your in the dallas area … Hit me up… i’m down for meeting some older yoyoer’s as well. Have van will travel!!

Duncan … Imperial>Butterfly>Limelight>Mosquito> 3 ProZ… Hopefully the ProZ’s can hold us for a while.

currently we are both using ProZ’s … Hopefully it’s a good lesson in keeping up with parts and learning how yoyo’s actually work. He is being suprizingly responsible with it.

I keep one proz with spacers and one without cause i have found that i have to mess with the modified version of the yo a bit to minimize vibration. I prefer the yo responsive with one friction pad (I’m actually starting to be able to pull off some loops)

first thing on the agenda… use the search and figure out what material i need to make friction stickers. at .50 cents a pop … those things are gonna add up. Figure if i can make a yoyo string i can figure out friction stickers.

and OMG… im already looking at yo’s to order that i can’t get at TRU … it is hard to resist ordering another yo for unresponsive play. Especially now that the vibe in my ProZ actually bother’s me. It doesn’t effect my play yet but what’s another 20-30 bucks right?

Sup everyone
Names Dylan
Im 21yr old and live in Texas right outside of dallas
Stumbled across an old metal no-name ball bearing yo-yo about 7 months ago in my house while looking for a bali-song, picked it up threw it afew times and then went and looked online for some new tricks
a week later bought myself a OneDrop Dang as a B-day present to myself
Been yo-yoin sence and i love it
ordered all my gear from here so decided i should finally signup and become part of the commun.

Ben here and I’m 15, and I’ve been yo’ing for about 4 years. Just got a DNA Muntant and I’m stoked to learn some new tricks with it. Fav trick though is suicide, spirit bomb, or Eli hops.

Hello, I’m finally posting here on the forums, been in just the chat for the last few days

Anyways my name is Weston…I’m 21 and just starting to yo-yo :-\

Anyway, I live in Michigan, and everyone and thing in my town is boring, so I figured I’d pick up a hobby. I don’t know why specifically yo-yoing, but it sounds fun and so far it has been. I’ve been practicing as much as I can, and I can tell I have gotten a lot better from when I have first started.

I currently have a YYF One, thanks to Pat Condon advising me on what One to start out with(see what I did there?). So far I haven’t had any problems other than just being a FNG to yo-yoing.

I don’t have any favorite tricks, at least that I can do. I don’t know the names of many either. I have watched just the first few introduction videos here on the site, so like up to walk the dog.

Good to see you finally on the forum! Good luck!

Welcome! You’ll be surprised how long response pads will last on the yoyo’s that you can buy through YYE. The pads are very different that what you see in the Duncan’s that you’ve bought at TRU. I wouldn’t let it worry you about making any. String will be the thing that you will likely be ordering most often.

Hello. My name is Ben. I’ve been yoyoing for 6 months, and am currently in Expert 1, although I have not learned every trick in all the lower levels. I found this website by mistake: best mistake of my life.
