Introduce Yourself!

hi

Hi everybody. My name is Jamie. I played hard 15-20 years ago with the old knuckle-busters. I had kept my turbo bumblebee around for all these years and would occasionally get it out and play some. A couple of months ago it broke and I started looking for a new one. This is when I discovered unresponsive yoyoing. It’s great. Now I can do all the tricks I wanted to learn back in the day.

Welcome, from another yo old man.

hello

I am new to the forums, my favorite yoyo that I own is the dv888. I enjoy pc gaming and Linux. I enjoy competitive pokemon and attempting to rap. But I also really like to yoyo, as a senior in high school it is hard being the only kid in my school who knows the path of the yo. I am currently working on Advanced section 1 tricks. I hope to get to know you guys. Also YAY for /r/throwers

Peace out- Mctron

Kongee from Malaysia. Cheers

Hello!!! I am Scotty from Wisconsin. I am not the best at yo-yoing but I never give up. My favorite yo-yo is the dark magic 2. I have been looking for a place to learn more about yo-yoing from people with more experience and this looks like the perfact place.

Hey,

My names Jon, im 12 and i wanna thank Andre Boulay for being so good at teaching tricks! Right now Im moving into advanced prt. 1 and im throwing a Dark Magic II with a concave bearing hoping to get my Supernova in the mail soon. Hmmmmm… what brought me to this site is i used to yoyo a couple years ago and watched Expert Village on youtube but i lost interest :'(. But recently a friend got me back again (To stay this time) and he told me he got his vids from Expert Village :o so he showed me where he was and it was Yoyoexpert where he got a new velocity and thts when i get my DMII. Bam! From there on I always go to yoyoexpert for my yoyo questions, or to just look at the really nice yoyos that ill never be able to afford. Fave Trick that i can do is the Boing-E-Boing. I Yoyo almost every day unless i have something else to do like my sports. BYEEEEE! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hello everyone. Just got into yo yos about 2 months ago. Back in highschool I messed with a fireball a little bit. It’s a lot of fun, and a great stress reliever. I love the feeling of landing a new trick. Right now all I have is a Raider, but my wife is getting me a Dark Magic 2 for Christmas. The color will be a surprise.

Hey,
I’m new to the forms, I starting yoyoing about a year ago. I’m pretty much exclusive to offstring with very limited knowledge of 1a and so on. I started with big Ben and got it down pretty quick. From their I’ve used a bunch of different throws, such as Go Big, Fiesta, Rextreme, hayabusa (with lights and hubstacks), aquarius (with synergy caps), and my most recent Turbofly. As you can probably tell I love using hubstacks, I find them extremely inventive in 4a. I’m curious as to why more people in 4a don’t use them… Anyway just came to introduce

Hi, everyone! I’ve been throwing since summer of 2011. I’m 33 years old and it started as something to do with my 7 year old boy to bond with him. But I fell in love with it and it took off for me. My son, not so much. lol. I live in Centeral New Jersey and would love to meet people in my area to get together and do some throwing with, as I don’t have any yoyo friends at the moment. I love this site and I’m a big fan of Andre’s videos.

My style of throw is 1A and I own about 13 high end throws at the moment. Ranging from YYF, One Drop, G2, and YYJ.

How“re you doing? My name“s Álvaro and I“m from Spain. I started yoyoing 3 months ago because i saw a friend (he“s also in here learning) and i was so amazed i though about doing that awesome tricks myself, so i bought a Velocity to start basics, and 1 month ago i started with the 1st Expert, and the Velocity couldn“t handle the tricks anymore, so i got a Genesis.
One reason i keep yoyoing is to amaze people, and show and teach the ones who donĀ“t like it, but the very one i do it itĀ“s to win my friend, who is in the Master section and itĀ“s really amazing… so IĀ“m keeping practicing!!!

Hi everyone!
My name’s Noah, I’m 14, and I’ve been yo-yoing for about a year and a half, learning trick after trick here on Yoyo Expert. I first started when my friend showed me a Yomega Brain Yoyo and I’ve been learning more and more about yoyoing ever since. Finally I got an 888x from here and I’ve learned nearly all the tricks listed on this awesome site! I keep practicing every day and I owe it all to my friends and of course…Yoyo Expert!

Hi Every body! I Am The Vu. Nice to meet you. I am happy to join this forum because I am a yoyoer. My yoyo’s style is 4A. I use Rextreme.

Hi everyone! My name is Troy and I’m from St. Petersburg Florida! My favorite yoyos right now are the Duncan Metal Drifter, YoYo Factory Velocity, and Yomega Fireball! Some of my favorite tricks are Rock The Baby, Brain Twister, Forward Pass, and Trapeze. I used to yoyo, though not very well, during the boom in the 90s but then I stopped. I remembered how awesome it was and got back into it! I’m still not very good but I’m so stoked that there are so many affordable yet rad yoyos out in the market now! Nice to meet you all!

Hey! My name is Michael, and it is kind of funny what brought me here…

Basically I had a dream the other night that I had a yoyo and it was the coolest thing ever. I used to have a Yomega RBII back in the 90’s and play in 3rd grade as a kid, but never got much past that point…

Anyways, after having that dream, I have been researching yoyo’s and am wanting to get back into it, but go 1a unresponsive. Before I only had an imperial and it would always autoreturn and hit me and got annoying.

My goal is to learn some awesome string tricks, and I am really excited for it… I am still deciding on my ā€œfirstā€ throw, having trouble between whether to get a cheaper plastic, or just get a cheaper metal now… like the dv888… I love the look of the metal yo’s but not sure if it would be too much for a beginner.

Anyways! I am glad to be here at YYE and hope to learn a lot in the months to come

Welcome everybody new!

Jean, I’m from Portage la Prairie originally.

Elluzion, if you have disposable income, get whatever suits your fancy. There are an increasing number of affordable metals, or you could go with one of the well-respected plastics like the Classic (grab an extra bearing for later), the PSG, Trigger, etc. Or if you have ā€œenoughā€ disposable income, what the heck? Just get a ā€œpro-levelā€ yoyo. You don’t have to earn the right to buy an expensive toy by being good at it first.

You will find a lot of people love the dv888, and those that don’t will recommend spending just $5-15 more to get something like the C3 DiBase or Capless. So many options to choose from… pretty hard to go wrong with the majority, though you could always ask, ā€œYoyo X, yay or nay?ā€ once you’ve narrowed it down.
