Anydoodles, I took up throwing probably 7 years ago but never took it too seriously. A couple years ago I started throwing a Maverick and a Madhouse 5150, but those have long since gone some place⦠I wish i knew where they were.
I was recently on a business trip and ran in to a hobby shop that was having a yo-yo night, so I picked up a Whip and got sucked back in. Iām not looking to spend a few hundred dollars on yo-yo stuff again, but I want to get a good yo-yo setup that is good for me to just mess around with, 1A style. I really liked the weight and size of the 5150, and from the looks of things the Magic YoYo n8 is similar in that it is a smaller heavier yo-yo. Only thing I wonder about is response pads, they seem to be awkward to order online, can never tell what pads fit what yo-yos other than branded ones and bearing upgrades.
My 2 cent
is on the magic I put a one drop bearing and use flowabble brakes or a tube of widow silacone jet fill groove and wipe off with card (business card) u can get one drop bearing on this site for less then $10 and turn ur magic from $20 into a $100 yoyo
Hi, my name is classified.
I have been yo-yoing for seven years but only in the past three I have been using complex tricks instead of the old wooden yoyo ones. Yoyo expert is where I bought my first yoyo, DV888. Since then I have been into yo-yoing on and off. For my other pass times, I also l like soccer and badminton. My favourite trick is and whut and I am always looking for new ones. The only thing I dislike about yo-yoing is how unpopular it is, I couldn't even imaging how awesome it would be if everyone did it. My prediction is 2016 for when yo-yoing will make it's come back.
Do you guys think yo-yoing will every be popular again?

Hello all, I have been yoyoing on and off for jeez around 25 yearsā¦mostly off though. Picked up a Duncan Butterfly in 6th grade, learned the basics (walk the dog, rock the baby, around the world and some loops), stopped for a while picked it up a few times in college (actually inspired a friend to pick it up who is now very good). About 4 years ago I was attending a work function where YoYoNation had a booth and they were selling and had some demo throws. They had a non responsive FH Zero and taught me to bind and some other simple string stuff. I bought one that day and again on and off for the last few years I would pick it up and throw. About two months ago I found that yoyo and threw a few times and the string busted and ordered some new. since then I have purchased 5 pieces (Protostar, Yomega Maverick and Raider, Dark Magic II, and today I won via ebay auction a DV888) and have been following along with Andreās tutorials and am currently putting together my first Advanced trick: The Matrix. I have the elements down but am trying to smooth it out and make it nice.
Anyway I am excited to join here and plan to keep up with it. Alot has changed in technology and creativity since I started throwingā¦

The nameās Andreas, am from Good Olā Germany and have been throwing for a while now. However, only this summer did I seriously get into the whole thing starting with my first unresponsive yoyo, a YYF Grindmachine. Since then Iāve heavily expanded my collection of yoyos and am working on expanding my repertoire of tricks accordingly.
Expect me to post some videos in the future. Although recorded in German (and targeted towards the German audience) Iāll include sub-titles for all you non-German speakers out there. I hear you are quite many
