Hey ev’ryone!
The name’s Viel. I’m a 19 year old Filipino currently living in the Philippines. I love sports and I’m glad to add Yoyoing to my repertoire. I think this year, in July was the first time I borrowed and played with a professional yoyo. I hope to learn a lot from you guys and I hope to gain new friends. ;D
Hi everybody!
My name is Toby and I have been yoyoing for about 4 years, but never really got better until about 3 months ago. I found Yoyoexpert looking for reviews about yoyos. My favorite tricks now are Gyro Flop and Skin the Gerbil. My favorite yoyo now is the DV888, having owned a Protostar and some other yoyos.

hello everyone, my name is Eric, im 23 years old and havent really messed with a yo-yo since i was little. Ive always wanted a freehand yo-yo and learn the tricks ever since i first seen them in the Duncan Yo-Yo Trick Book form way back when but just never have. I recently picked up the Duncan Metal Drifter with counter weight and i love it, im having trouble learning the tricks though. But practice makes perfect and i have a long way to go till then. Cant wait to get into the site and get to learning.

Hi Gang -
Sorry for the self-promotion but there is an awesome documentary about the YoYo world screening at the All Sports Film Festival on Saturday, November 10th at 12:00pm in North Hollywood, California. The documentary is called World on a String. If you combine documentary favorites Spellbound and Dogtown and Z-Boys, you’ll have WORLD ON A STRING. It’s a story of an underground community full of innovation, self expression, loss, friendship, and coming of age set against the backdrop of a dramatic competition. Described by industry viewers as a ‘pure joy to watch,’ WORLD ON A STRING is the documentary film that leaves viewers feeling satisfied, enlightened, and motivated to follow their passions.
For more information, you can check out the film festival’s website. www.AllSportsFilmFest.com.
Thanks!
They already stock that film here, Just thought I’d point that out.
When I first saw a yoyo trick i was like : this guy has no life but then he got into more complex tricks and then i was like :o ??? 8) then the guy hit me in the face with the yoyo
but i like the di base and used a duncan classic for about a year before that
Hi everyone. I am Zachary. Just restarted yo-yoing on the 20th of October 2012. I don’t know if restart is the right word because i did not practice yo-yoing(single A) for a long time, and recently jumped into offstring yo-yoing.
I have a dream that i can one day compete in the national and world yoyo contest. ;D
My biggest obstacle, which takes away my concentration, since restarting, is piece of homework. :o It is no joke, needing to do it in Chinese, which i suck at. >:(
All the best to all yo-yo players out there.
Hello, my name is, well you can call me Bones. I am a perpetual novice yoyo player. I follow the activity and know of a few of the bigger names in the scene, as well as have personal contacts with a couple pretty darn good yoyo guys which just so happen to live in my area. I throw for only fun and relaxation and have no desire to ever compete or take it seriously on any level. I love throwing yoyo make no bones about it. I currently have one primary yoyo, a One Drop Burnside and I use either Toxic Strings or Twisted or some of what I call OGYoyo strings made by a guy named Justin in SoCal. I myself reside in the remote forests of Northeast Oregon and live as a proper hermit would. My play style is fairly simple and straight forward. I like watching yoyo videos and following contest news. I don’t really follow the latest products, I’m not a collector. I listen to Baroque music and wear sweaters.
I’m Ivaylo and i’m from Bulgaria.I started playing yoyo last month. My favourite yoyo trick is gyroscopic flop.I don’t have favourite yoyo, because i have just one yoyo - YYF Velocity (RED).

What got me into YoYoing-
At the age of only 13, I had to find a way to avoid the influence of drugs and manic depression. I found serenity in both poetry and YoYos. My first ever return top was a Batman YoYo at a local store received about 3 years ago. I then moved to the Fast 201, then Magic Yos, DV888… etc. In 6 moths time, I officially quit smoking cigarettes and have been sober since (2 years). I am now a positiveness influence on my friends and my community, I volunteer for ASPCA, I donate money received from musical funds to African children, make straight A’s and run an all around successful life for once in a long while. I have a recently adopted sister who was adopted from my VERY abusive cousin. She was 1 at adoption, now 3, and has developed into a cute and polite young girl. I encourage you all to remain active on this forum, because each and everyone, especially the moderators, have been both patient and more than generous to me and the community. For those of you patient enough to read through this essay, I thank you for your time and welcome you to the inviting world of YoYoExpert!
