Hello, name’s Logan and I live in the US. Back in 2011 or so, my dad and sister got into yo-yoing with some simple Duncan yo-yos. I thought it was cool and fun to do, so I got into it as well. My dad and I started to challenge each other with learning tricks and we had a lot of fun yo-yoing together. I yo-yoed consistently until about 2015-16 where I just kind of lost interest in it.

Fast forward about 10 years, and I was looking at my collection and decided to pick it back up again. A month or so later, I’ve relearned most of the tricks I used to know and have learned a number of new ones. My wife has even started to learn and we’re enjoying yo-yoing together and celebrating the success of landing the tricks.

My yo-yo collection when I started was small. The first few yo-yos I got were YoyoJam (RIP), a black Trigger and a Black Spade edition of the DM2. Then I discovered C3YoyoDesign. I fell in love with C3 and added a YoyoExpert edition level 6 and a Capless to my collection. Since getting back into it I’ve added a C3 Epiphanion to my collection. I hope to add a C3 Eihwaz to my collection soon.

As far as favorite tricks go, I recently learned Gentrified and really enjoy that one. I’m working on Spirit Bomb and Mexican Duck Pond at the moment and I’m enjoying the challenge of those.

That’s me and I look forward to expanding my skills and collection as I get back into it!

Hey all, It’s Bradley Raley from Florida! I haven’t been active on a Yoyo forum since like 2012, but I miss it. I need new tricks, new yoyos to get hyped about, and to keep up to date on the latest in the yoyo world.

Here’s me at FL State 2024

I look forward to talking about yoyos with all you fine people!

Hey hey! I’m Jesse. I’ve been throwing for about 20 years, I’m on Tiktok as @xX_yoyomancer_Xx. I used to be on the YoyoNation forums as Ajcheeta

I’m getting back into throwing more as this is what my schedule will allow. And I’m also reconnecting with my inner kid who loved making yoyo videos and who is confused that I don’t make more now that I have a camera in my pocket at all times.

Hello mates, I’m here from Bloomington, IN, and am brand new to yoyo. I’ve been a BMX flatland rider for decades and recently underwent reconstructive surgery on both my hands. It’s still too early to jump back on the bike in full form but come to find out I can spend hours a day throwing a yoyo…and I do! I’m past thinking this is a passing reprieve, I dig this stuff! I don’t know one single other person who yoyos, and it’s just been me and me only. I’m looking forward to maybe some advice and direction from persons more knowledgeable than me.

You’re in the right place! Plenty of knowledgeable people, dare I say, experts around here… I’ve always gone it alone too here in rural KY/TN. Make sure you have plenty of spare beater yo yos to pass on to buddies. I think a big part of it is, “Hey, have you seen how fun these things are?” Then they can better appreciate the amazing stuff we’re learning on…

Are you looking to grow your collection? Here are some I have for sale jocor-8017 on eBay

Hello, everyone. Long time community member, however I haven’t been active on YYE in years now. Some of you may recognize me as an admin from the FB group “YoYo BST & Talk.”

I’m taking on an endeavor of nostalgia and attempting to acquire a lengthy list of sentimental throws. I hope freshness of my account doesn’t deter anyone - happy to be here and have tons of feedback from other community members.

How’s it going guys and girls

I was reminiscing the other day about some clunky black yo-yo I had in my 80s playground. A few images searches later and it reminded me it was a Duncan. So, off to eBay…

Not much around. So then I did some more research online for a few days…

Edit: Just bought an old school Proyo Ace. Looks like a decent alloy piece in a compact organic shape. Let the chaos commence

I’d like to introduce myself. I go by Awna. I’ve been throwing for about a year now, and honestly, I’ve been completely obsessed since day one. What started as a fun hobby has turned into a creative addiction.

I specialize in 3D modeling, fabrication drawings and making 3D printed moc ups to final production, and lately, I’ve been combining that with my love for yoyos. I used to keep pretty quiet and stay in my own lane, worried about people stealing my work or ideas. But honestly? I’m over that now. I don’t care anymore. Instead, I see myself as a catalyst for the resonance of others’ energy , someone who puts things out there to spark ideas, not hoard them.

I’m ready to start sharing my opinions and thoughts on some designs I’ve been working on. I don’t know everything, but I’ve got ideas, and I want to be part of the conversation.

It’s great to meet you all. Looking forward to learning, sharing, and throwing with you.

Since then I’ve had some throws come and go but one drop and clyw have always been my focus points for new throws! I just for the first time got a 4a throw and im having a blast learning a new style of play. I’m located in the Pittsburgh area and would love some mew friends to throw with!

Hello all,

I’m a 48 yr old mom from Ithaca, NY who just started yo-yoing about 4 months ago with my 10 and 8 yr old kids. Whereas I just figured out barrel rolls, they were able to do a DNA within a week and cold fusion and all sorts of combos and Eli hops. Suffice it to say, they are both naturals at it :). They wake up yo-yoing, fall asleep yo-yoing, and talk about the different kinds of yo-yos haha. And what is even better is that they’re getting their friends into yoyoing at school and creating a club. I have parents reaching out to me asking what’s the best beginner Yoyo :). Either way this has been an exciting adventure so far and wonderful to be part of this unique and encouraging community!

Welcome to the Fun Side, MJ! Funny how that circle just goes around – my father played with yo-yos back in the '30s, then made me my first yo-yo when I was about 8. Skipped a generation, though; my daughter likes cats and my son preferred to play balisong (which I have to admit he picked up from me).

And I’m back in the game now. One day I thought, “All those old tricks I barely remember? I’m gonna bet the Internet has all of them and I can relearn them and then just keep learning.” So that’s what I’m doing now! I wish you (and everyone else) a happy and fun learning experience.

Welcome! I’m in Black Pines, which you’ll need a magnifier to find on the map. Go east to Kamloops, then north up the North Thompson to Vinsulla or Black Pines depending on which side of the river you started north on.

Good to see some more BC folks!
