Hi!

My name is Matt. Been throwing on/off since around 2007 back in the yoyonation days. Haven’t picked up a yoyo in years but the other month the bug bit and I am throwing again. Wanted to share a little story:

I mostly just throw at home and not many people know about the hobby. I’m engaged now and my fiancĆ© saw me throw a yoyo for the first time a few weeks back. Immediately she ran over, told me how cool she thought it was and asked me to get her a cheap one so she can learn, too. Sometimes in life, you just know you made the right choice.

Cheers!

Hey, my name is Allan, i’m from Canada. I started throwing back in elementary school and just got back into it. Looking to get more serious with my difference in disposable income. I’m looking forward to obsessively hunt deals in the BST forum for a while

Hello everyone! I’ve been passionate about yoyos since a kid. Just throwing it up and down. We didn’t have the internet in my days. In my late forties about 15 years ago yoyos came back in style so I bought one. A black cherry bomb! I started leaning tricks online. Then I stopped for awhile. At this moment I am temporarily in a senior citizens home waiting to move in an apartment near my children and grandchildren 8 hours from where I live. I live in a small room. I’m constantly sitting and needed to find an activity where I would stand up more. Voila! Now I’m learning new tricks. Someday I want to teach my grandchildren when they are a bit older. They’re 4 and 2 now. I’m also a bit on the hyper side so yoyoing calms me down and helps my mind get quieter. It’s a form of meditation and also it makes me happy to accomplish new skills. It helps with my dexterity and memory. It’s keeping me young at heart! <3 Love to all!

Very cool to see so many people in their 30s and 40s either finding their way back to or discovering the hobby for the first time. Feels like we need a category between ā€œyoyo boomersā€ and ā€œjawn kidsā€ now - any suggestions? Yolennials?

Hey y’all

My name is Jürgen, based out of Northern Illinois. I’ve been throwing for about 7 months now, favorite yoyo is probably my G2 loadout 2 or Jackpot, been really enjoying the trick lotus Bloom. I wanted to try competing for the first time later this year and the guys in my online club suggested I make an account over here.

Hello all, My name is Brent, late 30’s just getting back into yoyoing. My daughters started playing around with my old Duncan FHZ and Buzz-ons over the last few weeks which has sparked my interest again.

I have been using my old YYJ mini motu, C3 Token and SPYY Radian MKII. Currently im kicking myself in the butt for ever selling off my Fluchs.

If anyone is interested in seeing some old classics from the early 2000’s, I will happily post a photo of my collection

Edit: attached photos of my little collection.

Hi y’all, I’m Junior based in Richmond / Fredericksburg, VA. I’ll be moving out to the east bay on the left coast later this year. I’m in my late 30s but threw a little when I was younger and not skating or playing paintball. A friend of mine is pretty heavy into kendama which I tried myself but it just never clicked. I’ve had a lot of fun picking up throwing again and how relaxing and therapeutic it can be.

I’m chris :waving_hand:

I started throwing in 03/04. I’m looking for some of the people I met at the few state comps and nc meetings I went to back in the day.
