Introduce Yourself! 2026

Hi everyone.

I’m a 20s-ish male, currently finishing up my MSc in Power Systems Engineering in the UK.

I got into yoyos on June 1st; I never threw before that in my life.

I fell in love with Yo-yo very deeply, very fast, to the point where perhaps it’s an addiction.

Now, I’ve got the:

  • K2 Crystal (MagicYoyo)
  • Shortcut (Yoyofriends)
  • Hatchet SS (Yoyofficer)
  • Panorama (One Drop).

Can’t get over this damn hobby. I think I’m addicted. It’s often one of the first things I do when I wake up, and it’s what I want to be doing all the time. I love throwing, collecting, learning, all of it.

Having recently been bitten by the same bug, let me just say welcome!

Im also very new to the whole scene, and I’m so happy to have stumbled upon it. A huge factor in that is the amazing community surrounding such a niche hobby. A couple people ive interacted with, initially to buy yoyos from BST threads, have been exchanging messages long after the deal was completed. I love how cool the folks involved in this thing are.

Id reccomend you try to be active on here and hopefully find a club in your area too. Im fortunate to be in a medium sized city with a major one very close. Found a club that meets monthly and will be attending my first event in a week or two. Really lookikg forward to it.

You also mentioned collecting in your post, and ive really enjoyed that side of it too. Granted its only been a couple months, but ive got 10-15 yoyos already and i love getting my hands on each and every new addition. Now being able to do anything cool with them is a different story, but i really enjoy the variety. The dofferent shapes, colors, finishes, etc, are so cool to experience. Take a second mortgage or sell your car or whatever and invest in as many throws as humanly possible!

Lol dont take that advice. Happy to have ya here!

Howdy!

It’s been a while since I’ve registered an account on an online forum or even an online game hence my uninspired username. Started throwing a couple months back after feeling like I want to spend some time outdoors and thought I’d enjoy throwing and spoiler alert: I’m pretty jazzed about it. Also, I feel like it’s a really great time to get started throwing. It’s a lot of great looking stuff out there and a lot of variety in performance and right now there seems to be a weapons race to the widest yoyo. I’d imagine there’s a throw for everyone out there so I’m enjoying the throwing and collecting aspect of this hobby.

Happy to be throwing with ya’ll. Right now I’m enjoying the YYR Autoscopy MN version.

Cheers.

Hello! I’m new to the forum and I’ve been yoyo-ing on and off for about a year. Since I got my first proper yoyos from Offset, I was hooked and my collection has grown since then. I currently aspire to compete someday, but as of now, I’m just enjoying the process of learning how to yoyo. Besides that, I also enjoy doing art, listening to jazz, and model building.

For the sake of my personal privacy, I’d like to keep myself anonymous, but I’d still enjoy talking to everyone! My user is Spray_Painted_Katana, but you can call me K for short.

Welcome… and don’t feel any pressure to reveal your secret identity. Most of us here; while seeming quite civil with one another, secretly live in constant suspicion of each other. You’ll learn to play the game pretty quick.:rofl:

Hello, my name is Nicolaus but you can call me Nifty (yes my friends gave me that name and it stuck ¯\_ (ᵕ—ᴗ—)_/¯ )
I’ve been throwing for around 3 years (on and off) I just thought to join this forum to try to convince myself to go outside and throw more often. I have a small collection of yoyos (~4) that I’m trying to build up. I’m just excited to meet and talk to people that have the same niche hobby as I do.
Nice to meet all of you.

Hi my name is Aaron or Sayvior or Say,

I used to yoyo quite a bit when I was younger (still even have my YYE trading cards and og Shutter) but I recently started getting back into it. My current main is the W1LD Anceps Bloom and I’ve known about YYE since early ~2012-2014 when I was first getting into yoyoing

Hello all my name is Cody and I started throwing yoyos a few years ago now (20 to be exact) and just recently got back into it full tilt. I used to be a huge CLYW fan and still have some cool stuff of theirs. 3 BvMs, one 28s, a 28s Peak2 and a 28s Sasquatch. But recently I discovered @Cmchappell97 and Featherspin through my good buddy Jacob and I have to say I have found a new favorite for sure. Im currently waiting on my next Featherspin to hit my mailbox. If you haven’t tried one you really need to. Much love everyone.

Hi everyone! My name is Jack. I just picked up an old-school ProYo Ace. It looks like a well-made aluminum yo-yo with a nice compact organic shape, and I’m excited to see how it throws. Looking forward to learning from everyone here

Let the chaos commence!

My name is John, Im 54 and have been yoyoing since I was a child, although you wouldnt be able to tell by my skills. Ive had several long breaks away from the hobby. My yoyos range from early 90’s Raiders all the way up to about the late 2010s. Im looking to update my collection and maybe sell some oldies. I still own every yoyo I ever bought since my first bearing yoyo in 1992. I joined in the hopes of learning and updating myself on the hobby.
