If you ever quit yoyoing and sell your collection

If you ever decide it’s time to hang up the strings for good and get some cash from your valuable collection, I have one piece of advice that I would recommend be followed.

Sell what ever you’d like, but make sure you always keep at least 1.

On 3 different occasions in the last 10 years since I first picked up a yoyo, I had periods where I believed I would never pick up one again. During these periods, I sold off a lot of yoyos to get money for other interests I had at the time.

In my expierence, yoyos find people just as much as people find yoyos. Yoyos have been there for me when I needed them the most, and expected them the least.

It had been three years this last January since I had picked up a yoyo, and I believed they were something that lived only in my past. I was going through an extremely dark period of depression and health issues that had me bed ridden for months. I felt like I was losing my mind, nothing was bringing me any true joy.

It was in those dark moments that the memories of yoyoing came to me. I had sold off the prized yoyos of my collection, but I still had a few left I hadn’t been able to sell. I decided to pick one up for the first time in years and see if it was as magical as I remembered.

I had been having really strong and painful heart palpitations, high blood pressure and mental fog. While yoyoing, the heart palpitations completely ceased, my blood pressure dropped to normal levels and my head got a much needed sense of clarity.

Right away, I realized something I thought I’d never pick up again was going to be so integral in getting me past a very rough hump in my life.

Over the last 5 months my life has dramatically improved. Stress levels are much lower than they were, my energy and strength is back, and I spend at least an hour every day yoyoing.

I write all of this to say; you never know when you’ll need yoyoing to be a part of your life. For a lot of peoole, it’s nothing more than a fun hobby, but for some it’s deeply important to their every day life. If you’re the earlier, you never know when you might become the later.

So In conclusion, if you decide yoyoing isn’t doing it for you at the moment and you want to get some cash for something else, by all means do it.

Just make sure you keep at least 1

Sheesh……….I’m glad you learned lol. I’ve been yoyoing almost my entire life and I’ve only had zero yoyos before I started and only one, once. Yoyos multiply, I swear!

I almost had to learn the hard way! If everything I had listed had ended up selling, who knows if I would’ve ever picked it up again.
