I think it’s really cool that you opened up about your slump to us and I’m glad you’ve got such a positive attitude moving forward.
When you’re ready to get your girlfriend a ring, I highly recommend you check out some estate sales in your area. It’s a little morbid maybe but I found my fiancé an amazing vintage ring at an estate sale that was was way WAY nicer than anything I could afford from a store. I tell this to everyone in the market for a ring because I’m still blown away by the value.
I also like the insight @Pun1sh3R got from his daughter and I often find myself doing Mach 5 over and over because it just makes me happy. There is definitely something to the idea of just doing fun or satisfying tricks to help unslump.
One final thought is that Yoyo is cool because there are so so so many baby steps one can take to progress. I’m constantly finding that I’m trying to climb the metaphorical Yoyo skill ladder two rungs at a time and stumbling and that can totally be frustrating. I just see like 8 year olds that are amazing and want to be as good as them lol. It’s helped me to pause while I’m trying to learn something too hard before I tilt and either try to learn something else or learn a simplified version.

It’s cool how much overlap there is between every Yoyo players yoyo journey. Like no one learns double or nothing before trapeze, for a while, everyone goes down the same road before it splits into infinity. It’s cool that all Yoyo players have/will have so many of the same experiences, like struggling through/to magic drop.
The path to Yoyo expertise is also tied to the history of the Yoyo. Simple tricks came first and complexity of tricks evolved with technology over time. Learning more and more complex tricks takes you through some of the history of yoyo itself. I can’t think of anything else like that. Aight back to spinning.
I love watching a ridiculous markup on a new release slowly drop in price everyday and come back to Earth because no one is buying it. This doesn’t happen on here really, I’m talking about that one site where you bid on stuff. Stop trying to scalp yo-yos man. The majority of us know what we’re looking at lol.

I dont know much about G2 but I joined the Facebook group last week and someone was offering double for a yoyo that they missed out on the drop that day.
Doesn’t seem like a crazy stretch after seeing that post.
Personally, I would feel like an idiot if I sold a yoyo for significantly lower than I could have got for it.
The real crazy thing is when the yoyo is priced absurdly and isn’t discounted after any time at all
If you find the person willing to pay what you’re asking the more power to you. I disagree with it personally, but this is America (for most of us) and I respect the hustle at the very least lol. But like the old saying on the BST “if it’s priced wrong it wont sell”

Performed at one of my friend’s birthday parties (everyone was around my age at 23-ish) and people reacted like little kids when they saw me doing my thing. Turns out that Calypso is a crowd pleaser for sure
My purchases have dropped-off also. I think it is more of a testament to the overall quality of the market rather than lack of interest. When everything you buy is awesome; satisfaction is easy to come by.

Hoping Freshly Dirty gets their FD-50 cases sorted and shipped soon. My expanding one drop collection has evicted everything else from my old aluminum case. My Sochi 12 throw soft case had room in it for about a week. Running out of shelf space. SEND HELP (or yoyo cases).

Imagine a robot that you could learn yoyo tricks and stuff from. (“ThrowBot” and “Yobot” are already trademarked names for something else sadly, I looked lol.) Like any trick, tutorial, or routine you saw online that you were having problems with you could just download/program it into your bot and it shows you how to do it. I’ve never learned anything yoyo-wise from someone in-person and I gotta imagine it makes it a lot easier, at least I think it would for me lol.
