That’s my new dress hat. Summit Racing is rat fink central.
Such a cool yo
Considering it’s national donut day I’m playing one of the first yo-yos I made, the donut fixie. Probably needs revisited and tweaked a little.
fixed axle throwers!
I’m looking to dip my toe into the fixed axle pool, in need some recommendations for first fixed axle throws
thanks
do you truly mean fixed or just 0a?
wait is 0A not fixed axle?
yes but 0a also includes modern responsives with bearings
Gotcha, now i’m wondering which i should get into haha
try em both! fixed is a very specific feel vs a bearing. also you have to think about material as wood, plastic, and al all obv feel and play differently
as a general starting point you can always grab a current gen butterfly for an amazing fixed axle at a super cheap price
as far as bearing responsives go, if you can find a confusion they’re super fun. also there are several ppl around here printing some absolutely top shelf responsives
if you can narrow down any qualities like bearing vs fixed and material that can go a long way to narrow down recs
Butterfly and Butterfly XT are both affordable starters (fixed and bearing’d respectfully).
I think i’d really like a wooden fixed axle, i see some of those nice SW throws here and man do they look good. really love wood as a material
I really like the ProYo as an entry level wood axle, but the catch zone is small for learning stalls.
There’s also this Harbinger on the BST if you want premium
