Do you know happen to know the difference between the responsive, and starburst response types? Is the starburst less responsive, or completely unresponsive?

This is a type of response. Responsive / Unresponsive is a symptom of response. Response is friction, more friction equals more response, friction is heat, this is how Starburst can sometimes melt poly, too much heat.

Purely guesswork here.
The fixed axle is just straight up a wood axle, should respond like any other fixed axle.
The ones with bearings and a brass starburst would likely play tug responsive and not require a bind, wouldn’t be good for unresponsive play, but great for responsive. I was told that if you want the bearing one for 0A play, adding turbo disks would make it stall really good.
Edit: If you go with a bearing model, keep an eye on the weight. I saw them range from 65-78 grams.
