Fixed Axle Friday Throws

Something like a Star Wars ray shield could be used to instantly incinerate all wood particles and dust, completely eliminating them from existence. This is the way.

Thanks for reading my old blog lol! Honestly I often forget it exists! I’ll try to get back to it although I sometimes feel that regarding the lived experience of yoyo, the more I say the further from the mark I am.

That said, I think the only State of Yo you find in this yoyo or that is that which you bring with you. It’s awesome that players are using printing technology to develop new throws and fixed axle lends itself to it so well because the tolerances required by large bearing seats and response grooves can be bypassed. Nostalgia is an big part of how I access the State, so throwing a No Jive might always help me feel closer to it, but the shapes, feel, and hickory axles in the Ardeus throws go a long way towards making me feel at home.

It’s always gonna boil down to what makes you want to play in a way that’s intrinsically motivated where you can get out of your own way and give yourself to that moment. That’s less about the elements and compounds that make up your yoyo and more about your approach to picking it up.

This is a great take and I appreciate your response! I’ve been working on a printed yo myself and it’s really fascinating to see how quickly we can sketch a new idea and bring it to life. As an old head I worry if things move too fast but I think I might just be slowing down lol.

Would you mind If I shared this interaction on my blog?

They won’t ship to Australia but find something like this. Zero chips down the shirt and very little in the shoes. :grinning:

I repaired this TMBR Morrow today. It had a snapped and stuck axle which I drilled out of one half (and just removed from the other) and replaced with one of my replacement TMBR axles. Plays awesome!
