Glen:
That ‘Button’ is such a travesty, I am considering coming out of retirement to make you one.
If you think that’s bad you should see my 3d printed RBCs.
Omg! THose RBCs are so terrible. Glen, you should def come out of retirement to make a new batch of fresh RBCs (and Buttons) because look how bad those RBCs are
Edit: This is joke. Unless…
It surprises me that people want my models badly enough to make their own knockoffs. We have Bloodcells, Buttons and Dead 'Orse knockoffs.
Do you mean Bloodcells?
I have yet to have had the pleasure to hold a Bloodcell. Almost had the chance, but missed out by a few minutes (at least, according to the BST edit at the time)
It’s the darn wood shavings everywhere. Its the darn wood shavings going down my shirt and in my shoes everywhere. Thats why I don’t like making thwm.
I’m also working on a disappointing KNack KNockoff. Calling it the CRack.
You should call it the KNick (as in Knick-knack paddy wack)
Wear a hazmat suit and make up for me just barely missing the opportunity to own and throw a Bloodcell (I yoke, of course)
I’ll buy you a Fein dust extractor in exchange for some yo-yos, just sayin.
Send me a link to it.
It’s like when mom says we have spinworthy at home
Hey I thought I did a pretty good job with my RBC (bearing’d) and Dead ‘Orse knock off.
It’s hard to get the KNack right on a printer unless you print cup up (which you can do).
Ed, your consistency is impressive and your style is on point. I’ve been enjoying your work’s with @Ardeus’s Sprint!
You’re a player that’s seen it all and has documented a lot about your personal interpretations of yo-yoing as an art/meditation. I’m curious about your opinion on yo-yo’s change and growth since you’ve really been jamming the 3-D prints lately. I think we’re all excited about printing a new throw in our house and I would like to know your take on how it relates to the “state of yo” and any other metaphysical effects you think printing a yo at home may have.
p.s. I was going to ask this in a pm but I’m sure I’m not the only who misses reading blogs and you’ve been neglecting yours
I will make some fixed axles over the next week if people would buy them for $100 each shipped.
I want a hardtail Charvel.
Would this be supporting you getting a wood shaving vacuum? I’m down to supporting medium-long term investments
No. There is no truly effective method for dust collection from a lathe unfortunately. It spews chips and dust in all directions.
Fair enough
