Another one bites the dust
Wish I had a cereal yo-yo to add to this thread. The Rice Krispies and Coca Puff Throws are great. I would start eating cereal if they brought back great prizes! Will just have to settle for eating strings… It is unbelievable that the butterfly sold for $299+. Adding a few behind the scene photos of Jack Russell Yo-Yo preparation to the Fixed Axle Friday post.
I believe they call that drunk eBay.
Why can’t I list my yo-yos on drunk eBay? Guess some people have all the luck!
The Kalmars aren’t very forgiving for imperfect loops. I was using them for awhile to improve the angle on my loops since they force you to throw better. These were made in two different widths (thin and wide gaps). The thin gaps are the best for looping. If you are looking for fixed axle loopers I would recommend using a Jack Russell.
Same here if they tossed some nice cheap yo-yos in the cereal boxes again I would be all over it.
I still love those Go Fly A Kite Russells!
Those axles were rough to start but they broke in super nice. Im def not gods gift to 2-handed, but the weights and gaps on those were chefs kiss.
Etsy find. Seller claimed this came from the collection of a “professional yo-yoer.” Very light and whippy.
Exiting through the gift shop I stumbled across this. A light application of paraffin oil helped the looks. A little glue helped it stay together. Not exactly high performance. One for the shelf.
Last time I shared this White Oak TMBR Moxon I was playing it as an Imperial. The beauty of the 3 and 1 configuration is that I can flip it into a Concave Butterfly Flying Camel mode ( Butterfly is a Duncan Trademark by the way). The 56.25mm diameter and 52 grams is so in the pocket for a fixed axle and paired with YYF Legend Wing 100% cotton the play and response are just hitting today, @colinleland is just a craftsman.
Today’s fixie setup includes some wood and some Al. RBC and weekender both set up fixed. Grovemod kendama is bamboo. Racing dog in zebrano.
Crop Circles are available on the webs if you love some wild wood…
