If they’re cheap, buy a few of them. One is bound to play well.
That’s a dangerous philosophy, my friend
Those guys just rocked.
Agreed
These are great.
Got two duncan imperials.
One blue one red
Hopefully won’t break both

Going straight back to the Imperial. That’s hard core
My Baldwin will be here tomorrow but in the meantime, I am using a butterfly XT that is tug responsive like a fixed axle so I can do the same tricks mostly. I also got to try Ed’s “The Eh” and it really is a great wooden yoyo.
I hope to make a video soon with the Baldwin, here is the latest video with the XT with some fixed axle type tricks in it. It is mostly a 1A video with the difficulty made harder because of the responsivness. There are some stalls and a kickflip suicide that Ed showed me among other stuff.
There is european championship in february, so no go for me. I think I Will go with fixed axle december, just for fun.
How’s about it?
I have a Fremont that I have hardly touched. I’m in.
I’ll still be playing bearings though… but in a very imited capacity. I’m aiming to hit (and record) a throwhand grind on a stock Russell.
Anyone else have any Fixed Axle Feb. goals?
To make it through the whole month without bailing
I’ll have a few things that will have bearings and need thrown in order to properly inspect them. Otherwise, I’m aiming to stay on wood all month.
I don’t know if I can do it without a storehouse of intermediate-and-up tutorials to draw on. I can’t just throw trapeze stalls for a month.

have my Irving pro in the mail. My first fixed. Just in time. Let’s do this

You do have a storehouse of tricks. It’s called the Internet
I know what you mean, though.

Heheh, yeah. I’m lazy about this kind of research… I want somebody to have archived them and given them a sense of order by difficulty.
I’mma try. I want to give a big “Hoo-AH! I’M ALL IN!” but I can’t lie… I’m only dipping my toes in the water right now.
Who cares about the tricks? Just play and enjoy it… Naught wrong with a month of trapeze stalls…

I know myself better than that. I LOOOoooove just doing trapeze stalls over and over again. But I’ve only got a week of that in me, tops.
But I’m in, at least more than I’m not. I know that’s not very inspirational, but it’s honest.
