Every 2A tutorial source on the internet

Inspired by this thread: Every 5A tutorial source on the internet and with a desire to freshen up some of the content in this thread: 2a tutorial collection and collate some information from this thread: 2A Tuesdays ( a Looping Thread) for easier consumption, I’ve decided to try to organize and collect all the 2A tutorials on the internet in one place.

Please feel free to add any extras below and I’ll edit them into the OP.

Wow I’m stoked people still read my old guide!

If you want a slightly newer version, you can read it in my website here. It is mostly the same except with few updates.

Also since then I’ve learned a few things and been meaning to do a refresh, so expect updates in the future.

Oh also, Shu Takada have a really good tutorial on YouTube called Shutorial, a must watch playlist https://www.youtube.com/@SHUTAKADA/playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=8

I feel like Shu is speaking directly to me in this video:

The caption said something like (I’m paraphrasing) “You know that coworker that hits the enter key too hard with his thumb? Flick the wrist like that.” That’s me! I’m that coworker!

Also, I changed up my wrist motion to snap the thumb and my loops are going way up now. Time to adjust string length I think; mine are way short.

Just wanted to add this single image here because it has helped me and is good for a quick reference when you’re new and struggling to get the set-up right.

I just watched the Shu Tangler video and surprisingly (to me anyway) that looks fairly doable. What a great instructional resource for that trick.

I love that in the video he says if you’re left handed you’ll have to do it backwards… then he does it left handed just as good as right handed…

What a talented fella.
