I got some great tips for 0A so I thought I’d ask for some looping advice too. I’m just trying to get consistent looping with my dominant hand. I find that the Yoyo rotates (the position of the Yoyo at the end of the loop) and it eventually rotates too far killing the looping motion. Maybe after 3 loops. Can you offer any advice or resources to help with this? I don’t want to create muscle memory for incorrect technique. I am using a default Loop 720 (red spacers) with short string.
Watch a tutorial and pay very close attention to how their hand and finger moves for the loop, and the timing (where the yoyo is when they begin the looping motion). Practice the motion a bit without the yoyo until you really think you’re doing it correctly, then practice with the yoyo and really focus on the motion and also the timing. If you start messing up, stop and start over.
Other than that, it’s just brute force, practice a little bit everyday for a month and pay attention to progress. See how many you can do in a row each day, how many consecutive times can you get 3/5/10+ consecutive loops in a row.
If you are actively thinking about proper technique while practicing, that is enough. No need to stress about developing muscle memory or ingraining bad technique, you will naturally just figure it out over time. 2a fundamentals really is just a time thing, don’t be lazy with it but also, genuinely, don’t overthink it.
