I’ve done this trick a few times and I can sometimes get close to it almost every time. But right now I just can’t seem to get the slack to continue for the life of me. How do I keep the slack going? If anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate it.
I can’t 2.0, but from what I can tell, you aren’t relying on the slack making it around but more rotating your hands in a circular motion to be in position.
…. I think.
Gl. I’d really like to learn this one too.
Do you have a video you can post or send me? That may help greatly in determining what you should be doing differently!
Hey guys, I appreciate the replies. I have done this trick before and I have determined it’s because I’m not moving my arms in the right motion, I whip the string and then both my hands just move up and down and not in a circle. I need to break that habit and move them in a circle.
Honestly this will probably not be good advice but just keep grinding it and you’ll get it eventually.
It’s actually pretty good advice, whenever I lose motivation I look back to when I was learning boingy boing, I never thought I would learn it, but I kept trying everyday and now I have the trick down.
This sounds goofy but you can work on locking in the motion without a yoyo just like do the circles. You can also put the yoyo end of a string on a doorknob and practice like that
Oh, I like this idea!
By chance do you know of a video that shows the hand movements, presented in a good way?
I’ve tried figuring out how to do it at one point but never found a video that helped me understand how the trick needs to be done.
Everything is so fast, even slowing the videos didn’t really help. I stopped at getting a 1.5 hook.
Do you know negative 2.0? I definitely think that one is easier. The hand movement is just circles but you wanna kinda carry the slack around to keep the whip going. This video is really good for understanding the trick imo. Just don’t do as many circles lol
Also film some attempts for yourself and that can help you spot what is going wrong.
The doorknob strat seems to be good. Never though I’d hit a 2.0 hook on a door
I saw someone practicing throw hand hooks today in person, it was like magic.
