Don't you hate it when

I hate it when I find new and interesting ways to make knots with tricks I have known for a long time.

Installing a new string and feeling like I’ve gone right back to the beginning ability-wise…

…or else knowing I desperately need to change a string but not wanting to give up my hard-won ability.

I know what you mean. Maybe the word ā€œhateā€ is wrong. It’s not so much bashing as just ā€œman, it irks me whenā€¦ā€ just little things to get off our shoulders and to show we’re not all perfect. It’s a fun topic but I can see the potential for it to take a dark turn.

I love complaining about stuff that irks me. :sunglasses:

When someone post a tutorial for a trick that took you two months to learn and you finally figured it out 1 day before they posted the video.

When we’re all gleefully listing things we hate because that’s the point of the thread, and someone butts in and tries telling us to list the things we love which is the opposite of the point of the thread.

It irks me that ivan- at the end of all his posts, signs his name, but his name is already at the top of his post right under his screen name.

Jk-kinda

When I am throwing a yoyo that feels so perfect it makes think I don’t need any of my other yoyos. Then two hours later I pick up another yoyo and think the same thing. Then an hour later I feel the same way about another yoyo. I really wish I had only one yoyo that made me want to forsake all others.

I wonder that all the time. If I only had 1 yoyo… I’m 100% positive I’d be fine with that

Hahaha so funny

I’m glad I’m not the only one who unscrews my yoyo to install string.

Aight, that’s enough yoyo forum browsing for tonight.

Goodnight!

Bobby pins that look like this

can be used to easily get out almost any knot. You can buy a large pack at walmart for really cheap and they have rubber ends that are safe for yoyos.

I started to use these once I got married. Nothing else works quite as well. I know you don’t care about unscrewing yoyos but using a bobby pin to take out a knot is quicker for me than unscrewing a yoyo.

the tornado or hurricane bind is now called the DNA.

Looking at ancient trick names show trick names evolved. I’m with you though. I thought the proper / original name was Helix Bind. I want anything with DNA in the title to stop showing up in my youtube feed. I feel embarassed for certain people.

Pretty much all yoyoers are sick of the DNA, but it’s your best bet if your trying to expand your channel/brand to non yoyoers.

I know what you mean about speed… I am impressed but do not like very fast yo-yoing, especially when it looks like auto-pilot. If you have an audience, respect the fact they need some space to appreciate something fairly foreign to them. All opinion of course…
