Alright, I know Modern Responsive March isn’t for another 20 days, but lemme see them Deep States!

I’m getting the best of both worlds… A fixie’d Deep State (with my obligatory spikes) for February, digging this simple conversion!

Love the spikes. Do you notice a weight difference from them?

Might be a pinch heavier but doesn’t phase me, willing to accept it if it means I can do pull starts

Not sure which thread we are posting in now🤣. I’ll just do both.
I had a blue one that I gifted to a friend who loves it. I have a red one currently being shared in a Pay it Forward. I have my other red and my only Saturday Market and I love them all. I think if I could have 100…I would.

I remember buying my Saturday market deep state when I visited Oregon! I made mines for unresponsive play because despite its high walls, lightness, and not as much power, I take it as a challenge

I currently have one setup unresponsive. But I have a flat bearing coming for it.

I added two more Deep States and one more Deeper before I stopped collecting them. Most of them I bought new but many of my favorites I got in trade. I threw most of them every day. I had them set up with different bearings, side effects and strings to try to make them throw differently. I’m down to two now. A Saturday Market and green Cerakote.

I just drool over the purple with black SEs and that Black with purple SEs my goodness. Those are gorgeous.

What would you say the most responsive setup was?

Thats a good question Charlie. I didn’t change the gap or the response on any of them making my delusion of them throwing differently even more delusional. That said I always loved how they threw with Zipline Slushie on them.

I’m also wondering about this I know I have messed around with the bearing was just the silicone grease but I haven’t tried putting thicker pads or pouring my own.
Was going to be my next step.

Also I saw your post yesterday yeah I’ve only played it with the ultralights

On one of my Deep State’s I removed the bearing shield and packed it completely full of silicon grease, and then replaced the shield. It was definitely not easy to get that C-clip back on again, but now I find the grease basically stays in there indefinitely and it’s mega responsive. That being said, it does not sleep that long anymore.

I have never reinstated it.
Neat

Man I love my modded deepstate. The one Steve did is… interesting… haven’t gathered my thoughts fully on it

Ooo! How is it modded may I ask?
