Cubing Corner

When it comes to roux compared to cfop, in orienting the corners, which of the seven algorithms are the same in both situations?

For CO it would be the cases you would use for 2 look CFOP after you orient the top edges. So like headlights, chameleon, how tie, etc.

Where can I get one of these?

A cube? thecubicle.us sells them.

what should i get as my first speed cube?

YJ Sulong is a good choice.

and the zanchi (Stickerless)

Eh… Sulong is better.

Anyone know how to do a 555? I think i can do one, even though i’ve never touched one. I’ll try to get one at penn states.

I can do the 5x5x5, ca. You do the 4x4x4? Because they are both way different than the normal cube

Reduction Method. Solve centers, edges, then like a 3x3.

I thought i saw or heard once that 444 is harder to learn than a 555. Do you have to deal with parity on a 555?

Well, that’s a somewhat two answer question. Edge pairing is more difficult on 5x5, but there is only one type of parity vs 3 on 4x4. With a 4x4, you can have a case where just two edges need to be swapped. You can have this on 5x5 also. The next two are the ones that make lives miserable. There is OLL parity, where there is one unoriented edge after f2l. PLL parity is when two edges need to be swapped after OLL. The other parity case you get with 5x5 is also on the edges. It’s where you have all edges solved, but the ‘wing’ pieces of one are flipped. That’s the equivalent of OLL parity. There’s an alg for this also. However, after that is over on 5x5, there is no more parity possible and you just solve as a 3x3.

So which parity do you have to deal with on the 555? Is it edge pairing, the super long algorithm whose parity i don’t know what to call, or the last algorithm which swaps two edges?

I’m working on 2 LOOK OLL.

Guys. I got 9.77 seconds!!! Sooo stoked

Good job man! First sub 10 feels so great!

Whoa! It’ll be a while before i get there.

You will though

Hopefully… :stuck_out_tongue:

Just 3 months ago I didn’t think I’d ever be able to sub 10 at all. Now I have a sub 10 ao5. Trust me, you’ll get there
