Apparently the 30 minutes we spent discussing this in the chat wasn’t enough? I thought this argument was over?
I’m not sure how this is even remotely about me, my point was simply that you can’t discount (or excuse) somebody based on age. That’s it, period. By bringing age into it, you offer it as a reason (or expectation) for irresponsible behavior, and it isn’t. You SHOULD expect somebody, of ANY age, to act responsibly when they take on the task of having a business. Arguing if they should have a business is irrelevant to begin with, since they do.
I used myself as an example, and perhaps I shouldn’t have, but there are thousands of other instances that prove the same point. And for the record, nobody in their right mind would ever consider me to be/have been perfect.
This bit, I take issue with though…
“and then I asked you where u got the rest of the several thousand dollars and then you wouldn’t give me an answer.”
That’s a load of … I answered completely and clearly, I can provide the chat log if you’d like. I guess you weren’t paying attention to the conversation you were in the middle of?
In any case this thread has derailed significantly, and I’m not sure anybody really knows what’s going on with this issue anymore.
For anyone who forgot, Alex Kim (owner/operator of Recreational Revolution, dba RecRev), took someone’s money and never sent them their product. He has done this dozens and dozens of times, to both players and retailers, and for some reason people continue doing business with him.
I read no reasoning “at great lengths,” just that you will take Anthony’s word and wait another six weeks. I saved the PM. An example of “great lengths” would be if you explained why you are willing to take Anthony’s word this time, when he told you the first time that the yo-yos were mailed out. If you explained why it is okay to take his word this second time, when it was not enough for you the last time he said it…that would be reasoning “at great lengths.” If you explained why you are willing to accept it this time, without a tracking number, that would be reasoning “at great lengths.” If you explained why you posted wanting to communicate directly with Alex, and never have, yet it is all of a sudden acceptable that he sent a message through Anthony, with no tracking, that would be reasoning…“at great lengths.”
But, none of it matters, as it is not my $170, so I don’t even need any reasoning at all that you declined. At this point, I just think it is an important and significant fact that you declined the additional offer for help.
So, I am glad you are satisfied now. All is well that ends well.
On that second line I quoted you…well, you put it best. You said it…I didn’t. Good luck to you with this.
So as far as we know the problem is fixed? I talked to Anthony and he said he fixed it. I’m just sad I put my head in the ring and got on rec-revs bad side. oh well, he is losing a consistent customer. I don’t want any hate posts, just putting in my angle.
Might want to share a little info with those that offered to help you as it might be a worthy way to see about getting your money or your yoyos. Sorry you’ve not heard anything.
Unless you are in the immediate vicinity and can personally walk up to Alex and grab him around the neck, there probably isn’t much you can do to help.
There was an offer on here to do something very close to that and all that was asked was something to show that money was sent and someone named AT&T would reach and touch him. Not in a harmful way but would have helped get the guy his yoyos.
That offer to help had an expiration, because it would have come from someone who expected to see Alex within those next few days, at a contest. So, that opportunity has passed. The OP was not interested.
Lol. Why is this thread still getting hits? It’s useless until the OP either states that he got the throws or comes back saying they are still in the mail. Bottom line is he took a leap of faith by believing they were sent when someone could have talked to Alex face to face with copy of reciept in hand.
I just added to the nonsense of posting in this don’t trust Alex thread.
But I’ve contacted Alex through the email address that he has given out here in the forum and he wrote right back. He’ll check the receipt to see if he can track the where-abouts of the package. I’ll keep you updated.
At the very least, he did respond right away (less than 30 min!) which is a positive thing.
Funny I’ve still received no reply to my issue… glad he told you he’d find the receipt and I holdings not a smoke blowing issues here. Good luck and may the yoyos find you!
