No tracking number…still? How do you know the yo-yo was really mailed out? If it was sent out “now,” does this mean you have to wait another few months to see if the untracked package will arrive in Germany? It sounds like you’re back to square one. :-\
as the famous saying goes: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!”
If it has taken Alex 3 months to ship this package (again?) it will probably take him months and years to give me a tracking number. So far, he hasn’t responded to me, why should he now? All I can do at the moment is trust in Anthony and take his word for it that the yoyos are indeed on their way to Germany. It might take up to 6 weeks to arrive here.
Square one, indeed, but with a bit more confidence this time.
I’m not saying you should support him at all, just saying that pretending he makes inferior yoyos to other companies simply because you don’t like the guy is pretty silly. Recrevs are, in my opinion, some of the best performing throws I’ve used, especially considering the price.
.
I just have to update you guys on this. I PMed gNNy regarding someone I believe can help him speak to Alex in person about this.
But, I told him that he would need to show some evidence of his payment, or no one can have confidence addressing Alex regarding this. He should provide his full name, address where the yo-yo is to be sent, what he ordered originally specifically, and a receipt from Paypal showing payment from him to RecRev. Obviously his Paypal address as well, in case a refund is to be issued instead. I told him that he can redact any personal information like credit card or bank account information from his receipt. This would be similar to how people post proof of payment in the trader feedback section.
I wanted to offer him something solution oriented to see if he might be interested. I think I know someone who might be able to help, but more information is necessary going forward. Totally his choice if he wants to try this.
I’m sorry, but since when is alex some effing special agent?
Anybody who has contact with Alex… tell him to grow some balls and talk to people himself… none of this messenger stuff, he’s not special.
Kyle
cool beans, man, that was a nice rant.
Never mind. I’m done here.
Just an update. The OP has declined the request for more information toward helping out with this, and he is satisfied with the word that the yo-yo has been mailed out.
in 3 months he might very well be back asking for your help again so dont count him out.
Well, I’ve offered once already and he declined, so I wish him the very best of luck in the matter.
At some point you should just demand that the $170 is returned if the throws don’t show. See how Alex/Rojas will react.
I’m not sure why you’re making it sound like the two are partners-in-crime or something. None of this is Anthony’s fault whatsoever, he’s just a good friend trying to help even though he doesn’t have to.
Anthony is one of the absolute Nicest guys you could ever meet. He is also probably as opposite as different sides of the Planet, when it comes to how he would deal with others.
His Curse is that he is good friends with Alex. And he felt compelled to step in and do some Damage Control for RecRev.
As well meaning as Anthony is trying to be, he actually makes Alex look like more of a Flake, because Alex isn’t Speaking up for himself.
If any of you guys have actually read this entire thread, you will have read that I(like in ME) actually said that in person, Alex in one of the Nicest guys. He is a very friendly guy. He is a very good yoer. He makes very good Cash deals in person. This thread isn’t about the ‘good things’ about Alex Kim.
It is about Alex ‘completing his half of the long distance yoyo deals he makes’. I never said he was a Horrible guy. And his yoyos are not only excellent players, but priced waaaay below their Performance.
… Let me put it this way, Let’s just say(example) that Alex lived 10 blocks from me. And let’s pretend that I walked by his house one day and he had a Lawn mower sitting in his driveway with a for sale sign on it. Lets say the Lawn mower was, uh, $170.
Alex comes out and I tell him I will buy the Lawn mower and I give him a check for $170. Since I am walking and so far from home, he says once he cashes the check, he will deliver the mower to my house.
Weeks go by. He still has my $170 and he still has my Lawn mower.
Now, how many times do you think I would walk by his house before I was ’ at his front door, right up in his Grill’ asking him ‘where’s my Da.m Lawn mower’?
Trust me, not long. He would have 3 options at that point: reach for my money, reach for my Lawn mower or reach for a First aid kit(something with a tourniquet).
I think it is very Sad that Anthony feels compelled to jump in on something ’ his friend’ should be handling himself. I would be embarrassed to let a friend jump in the Octagon for me, unless I was in the Hospital or something.
Now that being said, I must admit, regardless of Alex Kim’s documented Lazy deals, I am having some Doubts about gNNYs’ assertion that Alex owes him yoyos?
Totalartist told the guy if he could/would provide information that might support his Claim of ‘no yoyos’ sent?
He declined to offer any evidence to Support his accusations against Alex?
Makes me Wonder who is Playin who? <> if you were on the Short end of a yoyo deal to the tune of $170, wouldn’t you 'do what you could to help get the deal completed?
Do we have a Scammer Scamming a Scammer? I wouldn’t bet a penny either way.
I don’t send stuff to Germany, so I don’t know if packages are tracked all the way to their destination?
So I don’t know if Alex sent the package or not? And I don’t know if gNNY got the package or not? Maybe he got the package and then comes in here saying ‘he didnt’ get the package.< cuz Alex couldn’t Prove easily that the package was successfully sent?
But I would think that both parties could Prove certain things. First, Alex could at least Prove he mailed the package, by providing the mailing Receipt with an address in Germany. And gNNY could copy and paste an excerpt from his Paypal transaction, showing that $170 was transferred to RecRev. gNNY, declining to help his own case, give pause for thought? Did we fall into a game within a game?
Beats me?
am I slowly being turned into the bad guy in this?!? Interesting how this develops.
Hopefully, the yoyos will arrive in a few weeks so that this matter can be closed. If not, you’ll know by November, I suppose, as I’ve promised you all to keep you updated on the matter. Meanwhile, if you want to get to know me better, feel free to send me a personal message.
I don’t think you are being turned into the bad guy, it just seems odd that you have another avenue for help but declined, if someone gave you their word once and faltered what makes you so confident that it won’t be empty promises again? TotalArtist is an awesome and respected lady here and of she offers you help I’d bet dollars to dimes she will come through. They aren’t asking for much proof just something so these people that can get to Alex and really offer some insight and possibly offer some accountability in this situation don’t get bit in the a$$ if they do help but find out you are less then Truthful ( I’m not suggesting you are but we don’t have any idea of proof otherwise ).
It’s just help firm up our case and it never hurts to have another person or two on your team to help inside you get what is yours by way of your cash back or the yoyos.
I have to concur with yoyodoc.
I hope that whatever is going on here works out for the better. But, the way my mind works, no accusations can be made without evidence. The thread has been active for weeks, and over 2000 views in here (unknown how many unique). About 50 people have chimed in, or at least hit the thank you link on some post in here. Much of the comments refer to Alex’s reputation in the past. While that cannot be disputed, we are talking about this specific transaction here and now. When I asked anyone with a “current” issue with RecRev to step up and post…there were crickets. So, the OP is the only person currently with an issue. I have seen more motivation and determination from others to work toward a resolution on this than the OP himself. Based on that, I think any accusation of Alex having scammed anyone is not just premature but unsubstantiated. There is no proof of it that has been made publicly available.
Based on that, I don’t think anyone has any basis to question Alex about this $170, the yo-yo, or the alleged transaction as a whole. If I were in Alex’s shoes and some third party with no evidence walked up to me to question me about a deal with a guy in Germany, I might have some choice words for them and say:
- Mind your own business; and
- What evidence do you have to question me in the first place?
I had a friend who was willing to take a chance on violating #1, but without being able to answer #2, it is not worth the hassle and would make anyone look bad. A payment comes before shipping, so before we ask Alex to prove he shipped, we would have to ask the OP to prove that he paid. So, we will not figure this one out anytime soon.
Alex’s reputation might be what it is, but it could also make him more susceptible to false claims. It is easier to make claims against a guy who everyone will believe pulled a fast one. Like yoyodoc, I see this as a toss up.
The OP is not interested in posting evidence toward resolution, and he is satisfied with Anthony relaying the message that the yo-yo is in the mail “now.” I would just like to remind him of his right to request that a moderator lock this, and if he needs to have it unlocked at a later date to post an update, it can be done. That choice is his own. The OP is not the bad guy, but neither is Alex at this point. We would need to know further.
Good luck to him and RecRev.
I understand that. Had this offer for help been made before I heard back from Anthony I would have gladly taken her up on that. But I’ve explained my reason to her for declining at great lengths (or so I thought) and it basically boils down to this: if Alex has indeed sent off the yoyos, he has no reason whatsoever to give anybody anything, no money, no yoyos.
You can call me a fool for taking Anthony’s word here that the yoyos are on the way. As far as I am concerned (and I’ve said this already BEFORE she offered me help), the next step for me is to await the arrival of the yoyos. About 6 weeks would be enough time for this to happen.
Just wanted to note that there’s still threads on yyn with people waiting for their throws that were promised. Alex did attempt to redeem himself on yyn before and came up short when he didn’t get all his throws out. I think the reason we haven’t seen as much posts on yye is because he doesn’t even have an account on here from what I can tell so it’s less likely to see post about his behavior here. That being said neither party has provided proof.
Never did I mean that it’s ok to take people’s money and not send them what they bought. Never, ever, ever is that excused, no matter what age you are. And I know he’s an adult now, I was meaning more of how he screwed over a lot of ppl when he started B.I.O industries when he was 15 and even then he shouldn’t be excused. He should give anybody that he’s ever owed anything to what he owes them, period. Me saying he was a kid is not excusing him, i’m just saying that it has something to do with the way he acts, well, not now, but then. And Kyo, everyone knows that you started a company when you were a toddler and ran it perfect for so many years and we all know that you are still perfect and will always be perfect. And you said that it cost thousands of dollars to make ur first run of yoyo’s, the immortalus. I know this b/c you just told me so in the chat room. I then asked you how you got the money to pay the thousands of dollars and you said “I think I borrowed a few hundred from my parents” and then I asked you where u got the rest of the several thousand dollars and then you wouldn’t give me an answer. But one thing I know u didn’t do was go get a loan b/c 17 year old don’t get loans. That’s b/c most kids below 18 years old aren’t responsible enough to have a big loan. Not all, MOST. I know you could had when u were a kid Kyo b/c you were/are perfect. There’s reasons why kids don’t go to jail when they commit crimes, other than b/c they would be tortured. Their brains aren’t developed like an adults. I know you would argue on this b/c we HAVE argued about this. But it’s a fact, not an opinion and you were arguing that a 15 year olds brain is as developed as an adults brain and b/c of that I now know that you like to argue for the sake of it b/c I really hope you are smarter than that. But even if he acted the way he did b/c he was a kid, if he did that to me, I would realize that was the reason he did it and then I would knock him out. All of this is kind of irrelevant b/c Alex is an adult now, I just found it a little crazy that he was 15 when he started b.i.o. industries. But he did start it and he is a huuuuuuge lazy DB who has no empathy whatsoever for anyone for screwing ppl over like he did and like he is still doing. Does he think he is so much higher up than anyone here that he can’t get on these forums and tell someone that he is sorry for being a lazy excuse for a person? This horse should keep getting beat until he is enlightened. And Kyo I won’t buy bite you so quit asking me too. If your door swings both ways, that’s fine, but mine only swings one way.
