Last bump.
I want to share my results of 6 months of hardcore training.
I can now do it on the butterfly xt consitently. But its not always in the middle.
I hope I help anyone trying to learn this trick.
In the end… its practice, experiment, and dont give up. Its hard to believe but its true.

Not using the bearing that came with the butterfly yo-yo. Pretty obvious by the bearing sound. Also what helped me not get angry and throw my yo-yo against the wall was to just remember it’s a trick that takes time (or a long time) and it will one day come to you if you just keep trying.
