An Introduction Saga (tl;dr warning!)

Thanks for the great welcome and encouragement! I definitely agree with what was said above - the helpfulness of everyone and the plethora of online videos has and will definitely keep me yoyoing. It’s so amazing how technology can have such a big impact on something like yoyoing. When I was a kid, learning yoyo tricks was sort of like an “oral tradition”, in that the primary way many learned was through friends or observing other people. Sure, there were books, online text/photo tutorials, and videos you could order, but all not too accessible/practical. When people around you stopped yoyoing, it was harder to sustain, and easy to follow suit. Now, with high-speed internet, all the free youtube videos, and the online forums, it’s incredible - it’s so easy to learn! I’m sure the recent proliferation of high-speed mobile internet/devices is now changing the game once again.

After a while, you will hit a block. That is the hardest part as well. you MUST persevere through that part when you hit it!
