I could make 100 last years if i needed to…
Ages. I rotate through different strings all the time, so I still have a pair left. But they only needed changing “just because”. Really long-lasting.
I use a 100 pack for half a year.

I use the one string method, where i have one string that i play and switch it from yoyo to yoyo
I mainly play kitty string and it usually lasts me about 5-6 days
I snapped 2 of the strings in one day randomly and i’m not sure why.
Were they new? If they were old then I wouldnt be too worried… if they were new then…
Did u recently put in a new response?
They were new. And I siliconed it about a week and a half ago (and had no problems until today)
Once, my parents refused to let me buy string (this was 4 weeks before Christmas FYI), so I used the same piece of normal Kitty String for all of those four weeks. It got so incredibly nasty, I don’t even want to think about it
Edit: just wanted to share that it’s possible to keep a string on as long as you feel like leaving it there.
Mmm thats horrible. I never want that to happen. Ever. Anyways, my birthday is coming up in a few weeks (oct. 8th) And I really want a summit! I hope my grandpa and dad maybe together get me one- that would be so awesome! And I let my friends know about my ubsession with yoyos (and yoyoexpert) so hopefully they’ll catch my drift and get me gift certificates (which I would buy accesseries with (string, bearings, response)). Does the summit go through strings any faster than the g funk does?

Yep, the app’s been awful for me too. Anyway, the Summit shouldn’t go though strings any faster than any other yoyo with a fairly standard response system.
Still have an orange yoyonation highlight i got in a 100 pack five years ago, currently it is the only string i have, and today i put my music in and walked my town throwing the whole time. Its frayed, its grimey, and it still hits slacks and suicides like a pro. I found it on the floor in my closet 
so idk how many “miles” it has on it, its been on my summit for awhile now. Kitty is on the wayyy.
But i blow through string, like prolly close to 4-9 a day. Sometimes more than that.

I’ve used a Markmont. Dragon string for 3 months. Do I recommend it? No, not really. Can it be done? Sure. The Dragons are some of the longest lasting string I’ve ever played, and is my go to choice for most of my yoyos.
agrred, great string, but they get dirty real fast and the tension ends up getting me 
I change my string once every week or so…Maybe. When the feeling or tension goes bad I change it. I usually make my own string, but I have a few 100 packs that I’m burning through.
I just put my 50th string on my shutter… It was kinda lucky that I counted right now to find that there were exactly 51 left in the bundle… Now there’s 50. Only 50 left! Wow.
