It would be great to have a way to print axles! I really wish the material would work. I spent some time looking for a comparable part online and spent $14 on Amazon picking up dowel screws (this experiment didn’t work). I also thought about working with a machine shop but have a feeling that would be even more expensive. The only places I have found axles are in Japan and in the UK.
If you had the specs, it seems that cutting a piece of rod to the right length and properly threading it would be an easy job for a local machine shop. Maybe even a good project for a local vocational school machine shop if there is one near you.
The local college is a good idea. I might visit with the instructors.
How would you rate the new ones compared to the old ones?
I haven’t tried these. Len, who created the Fireball sent me a few older models recently. I think these may end up being part of my collection. He mentioned he was sending a few hard to find Yomega yo-yos. I have always thrown and competed with Jack Russell yo-yos so I am not sure how the old ones compare.
I have a model all CAD’d up and ready…
Happy 2A Tuesday! Working on synchronized throwing and experimenting with alternating hands. Throwing Yomega Fireballs.
Happy 2A Tuesday! Just curious, anyone ever throw a Came-Yo Mondial (which Duncan ended up buying out)?
I might be showing my age but I always wanted one and got a friend who has one NIB for sale.
I grabbed it up quick.
Have fun with the Came-Yo. I only have thrown the Duncan version. My nephew had one. Interesting design with the adjustments. Harry Baier who created the Yo-yo had a Mondial Hop trick.
I was able to find this for a good price. Not everyone would be psyched about this one, but I thought you guys might
Been really enjoying the Seekers recently.
Finally found a great string for the Hornets.. C3 pro thin. Super responsive while maintaining excellent spin for longer combos. Happy Tuesday, loopers!
