2A Tuesdays ( a Looping Thread)

If you’re not competing it’s fine to change it up a bit. I like comparing and contrasting throws, so it helps me play more to change out.

That said, the Sunrise and 720 are same body, same weight, just different bearing and spacer. They play a little different but more similarly than differently.

i also feel like it keeps skills generalized and makes sure one has the most complete muscle memory possible

I have been enjoying using C3 seeker by you for a couple of hours, and I quite like the adjustment system. Can someone help me understand why it is needed to have two different spacers, which these included nylon and POM spacers?

recently decided id give 2a some real attention to see if I’m interested in carrying it forward. i grabbed one seeker since it’ll be a bit before I’m good enough with my ndh to try to 2h it and by then I’ll know if I’m all in. it serendipitously arrived on 2a tuesday! first hour was VERY fun though and i like this response on the seeker a whole lot

Welcome to 2A! It’s such a fun style that more people should try and learn, so I’m happy that you’re spending time on it.

IMHO it’s worth buying two up front for half swaps

Freshly set up with mod parts. Can’t wait to put them through some paces. Thanks @YoYoExpertEric!

These have been a total nostalgia trip for me. I wouldn’t be surprised if I played them straight for a week. I might need to procure a same colored pair of fireballs for the ultimate nostalgia trip. The clear and black fireball was my nicest yoyo my first time around in the hobby in the 90s. I tried and failed to teach myself looping at the time (you know, before the ease of accessibility of internet yoyo tutorials).

There is a tiny bit of slip on one of them still that I need to figure out how to tune out.

Trying a couple things with my loop infinities. Every time I pick 2a back up, I remember exactly why I get mad and quit lol. I’m so tired of the slip knot spinning around my left hand the entire time. And the endless spin outs. I know, everyone has to deal with it.

I think it’s more frustrating because it’s such a seemingly simple concept in comparison to other styles but requires just as much perseverance, without the benefit of being able to switch up what you’re doing as easily or as much tangible progress.

lol as someone currently trying to learn 2a basics i feel this deeply. im also tired of popping myself in the collar bone. i made it over the 3a hump so i have confidence I’ll get there but yea… 2a hard

I’ve always just enjoyed throwing loops casually here and there. I gave 2 handed a brief try… I admire your all’s dedication.:joy:
