2 years back and shocked

We were talking about a forum that belonged to a different yoyo store.

If as in ā€œdifferent yoyo storeā€ you are referring to Extreeme Spin, itā€™s ok to mention them, they are no longer in business. It became so bad all there was on the first few pages of every forum was porn and e-cig ads. They couldnā€™t maintain it after the store closed.

No, it wasnā€™t Extreme Spin.

The other forumā€™s initials are ā€œYYSā€.

Maybe that can tell you what store it was

Thanks for the love Steve, Matthew being on board is definitely going to help us get things more up to date, starting with CLYW.  I also have approval from Chris at HighSpeedYoYo to use his pictures so Iā€™ve been using those to add One Drop to the Museum.  We missed a lot of history from the time Dave closed the store to now when I came back to the scene, and I really want to fill in those gaps.  While I intend to buy a lot more yo-yos than I ever have in the past, that doesnā€™t help with the missing history.

huh
coincidence that when I finally decide to pay a visit to the yoyoing community after couple of years that heā€™s wondering the same thing as me?
well I didnā€™t lose a yoyo but I moved to Korea and I guess I left behind yoyoing in the states

Iā€™ve been a yyn guy for couple of years while it was around and Iā€™m really sad that its not around anymore. I too had all my trade feedback in yyn so its kind of a bummer
luckly for me I at least got in one trade in yye so I guess Iā€™m a little better off

The one thing that I really miss about yyn is that I remember clearly that it had a super long post about the history of the Peak and I just wonder if thatā€™ll ever be recovered

  • the store had a whole bunch of discountinued yoyos that were fun to look at

I just checked my inbox and (coincidentally?) jhb8426 sent me a pm on september of 2012 explaining to me why yyn folded
