I just replaced my dv888’s silicone rings, and then I used YYJ’s Thin Lube on it. Now the bearing only spins for 4 seconds, it makes a different noise than before, and it’s responsive.
Break it in by playing with it.

You may have added too much lube.
It sounds to me like you added too much lube. You don’t have to lube your bearings very much. I only lube my bearings about once every month and sometimes even longer than that. When you do lube it, 1-2 small drops is plenty. Personally, I use a drop on the end of a needle…
