What’s really been confusing for me is that a lot of sites say it’s got a 50mm diameter
What’s the size of yours?

58
Inb4 Stickman buys 20 of them. ;D
+8mm dia? dafuq?
I know this is supposed to be a yoyorec thread but does anyone know what the specs of the throw were supposed to be?
Same as the OG Ares, 58/44/68.
Meanwhile, I was just offered two of those MIB for $15 each (retail is about $25) that are supposed to come directly from their local auldey hq. Until about a week ago there was a campaign at some auldey site where you can win this thing by playing some sort of a clicker game; apparently there were people who gathered a whole lot of them by this means spamming multiple accounts.
Picked up a Sleipnir and splash Stargazer from a forum member for an excellent price. I forgot what a great throw the Sleipnir is, and the Stargazer is really impressive. I owned a Stargeyser that played phenomenally but it was just too heavy (and pink) for me, while Stargazer feels just right.
I know that some dislike YYR and TP because they generally recycle the same yoyo profile with slightly different dimensions and weights, but I think this is one of their strongest points, since it means that there are going to be a handful of models that just about anyone will feel are a good fit for them.
I was really hoping the 64 grams was meant to be since the 68 always felt heavy to me
How does the Diffusion play compared to the Triad? I’ve been meaning to pick one up for EDC.
diffusion is excellent. more lax than the triad but lax is good too
^^
What they said.
Stargazer vs Blink? I’m trying to decide which to get, and I was going to post in the help/recommendation section but I figures all the yyrheads would be here. Just a quick comparison of how they play in your opinion, and your preferences and stuff would be awesome.
Stargazer and Blink are both in my top 3 yoyos right now and Blink is possibly my all time favorite.
Both have a fairly light feel to them with a decent amount of speed. The Blink is a bit more solid while Stargazer has a bit more float imo. At 42mm wide, they both fit comfortably in the hand.
If you like midsized yoyos that feel like a full sized yoyo then I’d go Stargazer, if you like midsized yoyos that feel like an undersized yoyo I’d go Blink.
I went for the stargazer, since I prefer clear ano to red. ;D That was the final decision between the two, basically eenie meenie.
How about the minie moe?
I save that for less important decisions.
Wouldnt want to catch a tiger by the toe unnecessarily, huh.
I wish Sturm Panzer throws were available at more retailers and more well known so that more people could experience them. I love how different most of their models are. Too bad the regular Schneider is discontinued and the LM Schneider only had a few pieces released.
Yeah I remember a few years ago when the Stealth Ogre came out, it didn’t seem to have much “media coverage” here, but at the time I felt that it was one of the best performing yoyos of all time. I think what turns people off is the cheesy manga and “yoyo fighters”, or it did to me anyways. The whole company just seems cheesy and kind of '90s. They make stellar throws, but got to work on their marketing skills if they want to sell in the states. I hear they’re pretty popular in Japan though.
And on a completely different subject, what happened with Shinya Kido leaving YYR? Isn’t his brother the owner of YYR? And why doesn’t rewind carry YYR yoyos anymore? It almost seems like they’ve turned on their heads since the last time I was yoyoing, everything is so different. I never got filled in on all this stuff.
