I don’t get import taxes on yoyos. My phone cost about $90 to bring in with shipping, but my Draupnir was only the $15 for shipping.

Lucky you, for a Draupnir I have to pay 100$, this is why I always have to make sure I can aford it before shopping overseas

You missed the most obvious mistake.

For the record I have now had my red EMS capped Attack Schneider or whatever it is called for a few days. This is supposed to be the version with more vibe. My early opinions are as follows:

• It does have a small amount of vibe, but much less than some throws, and much less than one of my original Schneiders
• Despite the odd plastic bits, it is one of the best put-together throws I’ve seen. The ano is utterly flawless, and is a beautiful vibrant color. The finish is not as ‘sticky’ as the SY-002 and grinds really pretty well
• The brass inlay is perfect. Not just quite good. Immaculate.
• The plastic components actually feel fine. They’re solid, don’t wobble, and aren’t likely to fall out.
• The shape is funky, it feels in the hand the way I would imagine the Lesula does
• I think it’s superb. Actually, it is nothing like the Schneider, but it’s quirky and different and really really fun. It plays much lighter than the specs would suggest. I may even call it floaty.

Honestly it just feels much tighter as a product than the original Schneider. I don’t know whether I prefer it yet, but it’s just infinitely a more polished end result. The plastic parts don’t seem cheap or tacky. I wouldn’t say ignore your worries about them, but at least let me assure you they aren’t anywhere near as bad as you might imagine.

Finally back to the YYR. I have a ‘BOB’ question. Has anyone thrown one of these guys a lot? If so, is there anyone who can comment yet on the longevity of the finish. Is there any degradation of the color in the catch zone and/or is it really trivial to scratch?

OK, another small update, I now have the A-grade version of the SY-007. The vibe is still present but very minor. It’s actually not noticeable unless you do the fingernail test. I also retract my statement about it being a floaty throw. I think I just hadn’t thrown many other things for a while. I don’t think it’s a rock on the string but it probably isn’t floaty.

Finally, there are now pink MkIIs out, which look pretty darn sweet. You’ll have to use twitter I think to find some pics, but they are available for purchase.

I have an orange cap…I think the vibe is pretty bad but it’s definitely playable. I wonder what the red caps were like.
